GiR's Macca takes avlook at the Kinect features of Bioware's Mass Effect 3
One of the best things about the Mas Effect series is the companions you meet along the way. So here is a tier list of all the companions from Mass Effect!
To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.
Based on one narratively fitting ending in Mass Effect 3, Prothean squadmate Javik is highly unlikely to return in the next Mass Effect game.
He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
This Canada Day, explore our homeland with the best video games that have adapted or reimagined the Great White North in digital form.
Regardless that its not, MS has the money which "proves" that it is.
They have the money to make a round peg fit into a square hole.
Mass Effect with Kinect has a feature that isn't available on other platforms, but whether voice control really makes the game better can be debated and is dependant on how well it is implemented and on the usefulness of voice control.
I doubt you'll find many people in these part that think it's better with Kinect, but is Bioshock 3 better because of Move/3-D support? If you say yes to that question then you need to say yes to Mass Effect 3 and Kinect being better as well.
If you played the demo with Kinect like I did, then you realize it really immerses you into the game, you don't have to constantly pause the game to change weapons or assign tasks to your squad.
Also, you can talk quietly and it works 100% of the time, so no loud and crazy screaming required.
I've used, or attempted to use headsets for voice commands in the past, dating back to the NES and even Endwar, but they never worked very well and were rudimentary at best. Kinect's voice commands are more complex and actually work, so if you want to keep up the action and not have to pause the game a lot or if you want to feel like your actually part of the game, then yes it's better with Kinect. If it's not your thing then it's not and nothing will change your mind. Choices are great though and I'm glad people will at least have the choice to use the device to help enhance the experience.
Sony has a voice recognition software.
From what I've read from a couple of different people, Kinect actually works really great with ME3.
