An opinion piece about why you should be excited about the upcoming release of Mass Effect 3. Mass Effect 2 was one of, if not the, best games I have played in the last 5 years. The real reason I am excited is the story. I really want to know what happens next. The epic ending of Mass Effect 2 left me wanting more space traveling goodness.
One of the best things about the Mas Effect series is the companions you meet along the way. So here is a tier list of all the companions from Mass Effect!
To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.
Based on one narratively fitting ending in Mass Effect 3, Prothean squadmate Javik is highly unlikely to return in the next Mass Effect game.
He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.

Terrible article.
The beginning to Mass Effect is awesome.
The ending to Mass Effect 2 was a little weak. If the author had bothered to finish the first ME, he would have been treated to a truly epic ending.
I completely agree.
This was my first chuckle.
"I’ll let it be known right now; I wasn’t a fan of Mass Effect 1. "
This was my second.
"I actually never beat it."

I cringe when I want to say my favorite game is Mass Effect 1 but then remember how corrupted the franchise has become.
"The epic ending of Mass Effect 2 left me wanting more space traveling goodness. The final boss battle with the giant skeleton alien thing was amazing."
Go back to Gears of War, we had a good franchise going till you kids showed up.
I can't remember mass 1 ending or 2, and it's 90% not rpg.
I just lost interest I guess
people who don't have the complete Mass effect experience shouldn't bother writing an article about it.
