Okay, here is yet another reason to buy a Vita. I'm getting the First Edition Bundle probably so I can get it a week early, and for the case and memory card.

If Sony does allow FULL remote play for ALL PS3 games, the Vita will be even more of a wild success.

Why does nobody realise that theres at least a 60ms delay in the controls? IT'S PRACTICALLY UNPLAYABLE because it's just the same terrible psp remote play. When the newer ps3 titles come out supporting vita remote play, then it will be good.

If there's one thing I hate, is the misuse of the word "unplayable".

It may not be good enough for online multiplayer. But single play works fine. And hey, if the Vita remote play will be even better, then awesome.

Wow! Remote play's advanced a lot since PSP's day. I remember when Remote play came out for PSP, I could hardly even play a PS1 game in decent quality/latency.

It is possible to do remote play over the internet, when you set it up on the VITA, it asks if you wan't to do it directly to your PS3, or over the internet.
Also, for the Western launch, remote play will be released on day one through an update. The Japanese didn't receive it because it's sort of in a beta testing right now.

This will be BEASTLY when fully released. Especially for playing multipalyer games on the go! And as fear88 said, Skyrim on the VITA will just end all of our lives. LOL

The wire is the vita's ac power adapter. Remote play has always drained the battery my original fat PSP. Remote play has always been possible through a wireless network connection and not wired.

I doubt its hardware related though: probably more likely to do with how the custom firmware is programmed.

PS Vita is actually fully capable of running Battlefield 3 in real-time.. Might need to decrease graphics quality a little & optimize things a bit as well as bring the resolution down to 960x544.. but the system is capable of running it, for sure.

Actually a lot of the demonstrations of remote play so far have been possible due to custom firmware. Sony has yet to standardize remote play for BF3, Red Dead Redemption, and the other games shown.

A fair percentage of the input lag you're seeing has nothing to do with the latency from using remote play, but with the game itself. I'm amazed that it's been this long and dice haven't come around to fixing it along with the voip issues.

This is great.....if you're sitting so close to your ps3 that you could actually be playing it on the ps3 instead, in which case - why are you playing it on the 5" screen with input lag instead of on your 32"/40"/46"/50& quot; tv with no input lag?

Until wireless internet speeds are good enough to handle this on the go, there's really no point in this. Remote plays real selling point is using the ps3 to stream media from a NAS and watch it on the ps3.

It shouldn't take custom firmware in order to get a feature like remote play to work with all PS3 games. Sony should work hard to make this feature standard because while I want to use it I don't want to modify my Vita to use it.

Remote play has never worked with a direct connection, not to mention USB speeds are slower than Wi-Fi as it is. He's just plugged in to charge it.

I like how the guy playing is trying to use the iron site versus the 3.4 scope cross hairs that is there. I did that for about the first few deaths and then realized my mistake. I felt bad for him... he just never seemed to figure it out.

Looks fantastic but the input lag is far worse than Bf3 on ps3, and that was pretty bad to start with. If this issue can be fixed i'll be very impressed.
