The debate in many gamer’s(mainly ps3 users) minds lately is why did this game get GoTY in spite of all the problems that this game had/has/still have.

Does Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim End? I ask myself a similar question after I beat oblivion, I didn't finally put the game down(pc version) until skyrim did come out. Thanks to all the mods.

The console version of skyrim only truly end when you complete everything excluding recurring radiant quest or completely grow bored of the game.

The pc version not so much thx to mods, if you to install/use them.

Games like this are bound to have sorts of problems. Doesn't exempt them from GOTY nomination.

/facepalm

A game full of glitches I can take, but not an UNPLAYABLE game.
Those who keep defending Bethesda about PS3's problem should get their facts straight, the game is unplayable for god's sake, what more of a reason do you want to justify the hate surrounding it?

Valenka4873d ago

It's not unplayable. A few friends of mine play it on PS3 and have only had minor problems. Don't assume it's everyone.

@ CaptainMarvelQ8, funny, about these facts of the game being unplayable.

I did it in 199 hours 54 mins. At 19 days straight. Yeah I ran into some issues, frame rate here and there. But still.

I've still kept on playing it. The game is to fun to just stop even after getting all the trophies.

The bugs make it somewhat endearing, and the glitches can make playing it like forcing a confused program through its routines by sheer willpower at times.

Skyrim is great, but can also be tiring at times. For some reason I find myself liking Oblivion more for inventory interface, map, and overall gameplay experience. Skyrim gets pluses for detail, graphics, enhanced story etc, but I till prefer Oblivion between the two. Faster load times, and less buggy.

gillri4874d ago

I put 240 hours into and will play again but the bugs were too much,

I will wait 6 months to a year before I sink another 200 hours into it

Zack_Fair4873d ago

I stopped playing when I got the platinum.
I wanted to play more, but the game has many bugs and some are very annoying.

MS could compress their games on disc

raWfodog3d ago (Edited 3d ago )

Skyrim is still my favorite ES game. I’m playing through it again right now since I never finished it.

ActualWhiteMan3d ago

Yeah totally. Definitely won’t be hacking it Nintendo 🤞🏻

Fallout and Skyrim show us that talented developers make great games when you leave them alone

That judicious lack of oversight permeated everything in Bethesda's RPGs, in a positive fashion.

Christopher32d ago

I much prefer a left alone Obsidian and Larian Studios. Bethesda's formula has grown old for me.

anast30d ago

Larian hit another level with DOS:2 and then took it even further with BG3. They do high quality work.

jznrpg31d ago (Edited 31d ago )

Skyrim was a letdown compared to previous games and so was Fallout 4

Kosic30d ago

I agree, I found it an interesting game. But nowhere near worth the hype (unless you include mods)

dmonee31d ago

Skyrim blew my mind when it released. That game took me to the gaming, promisedland. Going back to it when it was updated for the PS5, it felt slightly rough around the edges, but great for its time

TheColbertinator31d ago

We should leave Obsidian alone. Bethesda on the other hand should be kept under constant psychiatric observation.

anast30d ago

Skyrim feels like the game was made in a hurry with a disorganized team.

At this point, if you still don't have these games, just wtf are you even doing?
