Indeed, we as gamers were privy to one of the most satisfying and diverse years of entertainment to grace this generation. From the prominence of the indie and downloadable scene to the dominance of genre defining epics that swept through the industry, 2011 has been an undeniable force of innovation and refinement. As such, we are very excited to bring you the first ever TGE Game of Year Awards, complete with over 20 categories and full Reader's Choice voting.
Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.
