When developer Blueside first started talking about Kingdom of Fire: Circle of Doom early this year, the studio wasn't clear on whether the Xbox 360 title would venture outside Asia. Today, however, Microsoft announced that the new title will indeed arrive in the States next year.
Unlike previous titles in the franchise, which offered action-heavy real-time strategy, Circle of Doom enters the Kingdom of Fire universe as an action RPG. The game uses characters and story threads from other games in the series, and will feature randomly generated environments, fast action, and -- at times -- thousands of enemies on screen at once.
Backward compatibility works for many games on newer consoles, but titles such as The Simpsons: Hit and Run have been left out.
