GATT: Steam Console / Red Riding Hood Computer Entertainment System Video Review Parted Out (1080p)

GATT GAMERX: Well guys I have been working on this video review all day but ADOBE is being horrid and rendering my main review file slowly (10 hours slow enough?) So in the mean time I decided to upload the 1080p recorded files of the review. These videos all comprise the review, however they are not put together into a whole so they are broken up into separate parts. The full video review will be online tomorrow. But as people have been asking for a real time demonstration it seems NP Entertainment was ready to deliver. Check out the first video below, the rest after the more tag.

i wish he would give us an idea of what kind of framerate its pushing out.

also, on the official site, it doesnt give much detail on what kind of hardware its sporting.

if im going throw out $300-$600 for this, i want to know EXACTLY what im paying for.

i do like the idea of it though, and its a very slick looking piece of hardware.

"if im going throw out $300-$600 for this, i want to know EXACTLY what im paying for."

You would be paying for by todays standards a low spec PC because that is all it is, it isnt a console!

Nothing to do with Valve or Steam.

Need specs a 3.2Ghz quad doesn't tell a lot, Clock speed is no longer the primary attribute to measure Cpu's by also no GPU info other than a 6000 series card? seriously? I wanna know what I'm buying before I buy something...why no real tech specs?

dredgewalker4678d ago (Edited 4678d ago )

I've stumbled upon a forum and this console seems more like a scam than a legit product. The way the product is being marketed unprofessionally is really fishy. If you research this console there really isn't much you can find about the details on this. They're not even associated with Valve.

GamerXGATT4678d ago

It's not a scam -- I video proofed it there in the videos, it's a legit product. No one said they were associated with Steam in any manner. Also for tech specs: http://steamconsole.com/?p=... <-- looks like they are detailed completely there. A real steal if you ask me. The way the product is being marketed is called viral marketing. Word of mouth and Internet. It was the way things were done before the advent of a media hype machine. The product is fully legit, and aimed to target a specific price range. If you don't fall under the category of those who need the services than it isn't for you.

I'd rather be a skeptic than a fool who easily parts with his money. It's easy to get tricked these days even by legit companies. This concept is quite similar to the Phantom. I'll only be convinced if I see one working in person.

Thats not a console. Its a micro ATX computer with windows 7 installed.

[Public Unboxing] Steam Link + Controller

The next episode in the uniquely awkward/hilarious Public Unboxing series is here! Carson was so excited about his purchase of the Steam Link and Controller that he just had to make a professional unboxing video on his way home. From a public bus stop, to a busy Starbucks; nothing will keep him from informing you about what's inside the box!

*The Public Unboxing series is strictly comedic and only sometimes informative. Unboxing videos are weird! So, we examine that weirdness by placing it in a public context.*

Digital Distribution Prepares PC For An Epic Come Back

Next-Gen War is far from over, and there’s a (new) contender
The release of the original Xbox, in the early 2000′s clearly defined the way of what would be the future of gaming. Having a console in the living room has changed dramatically our way of playing video-games. The major step forward PC-like graphics and overall experience was brought to us by Sony with their PlayStation gaming systems and later on, by Microsoft, with their Xbox products line.

I know right. I love my PC and know plenty of ppl who game on pc, and a lot own consoles too. Plenty of games exclusive to pc, so i'm a bit confused lol

cyguration3795d ago

When wasn't the PC here?

Perhaps The Canadian has been living under a Nova Scotian rock.

Gabe's been rocking the digital distribution space for a few years now.

Someone's been smoking some deep time-traveling shrooms again.

Allsystemgamer3795d ago

Lol I'm Canadian and many of my brethren are PC gamers. This guy seems to just be daft.

So an opinion article is now considered news?
