Some major bugs on the PC version are pretty obnoxious. Sort those out and it's definitely up there with the best of all time.

TheIneffableBob4968d ago

More like bugs across all platforms. It's a Bethesda game so I'm not surprised. I'm still having fun, though.

Bigpappy4968d ago

I have no idea what you people want from a game. I guess if it has no bugs that would make the game the best eva? I at level 15 in this game can con not thing of a game outside of Morrowind that even comes close to matching the level of engagement and immersion I am having with this game.

I am playing the game on the 6 year old 360, and have not seen any of these game killing bugs you guys keep crying about. May be its above my head, and I have no idea what a bug is? If that is the case, please don't explain it to me, because I am having wayyyy too much fun with this game. I will try and finish Dark Souls some time next year. That game is great, if all you need from your RPG is good fighting.

A game so good i don't even care that it will crash on me every 1-2new hours... i wish it didn't but i imagine it will be patched soon.

Gordo7894968d ago

yeah, i sort of want this now.

Tanir4968d ago

cant wait to get the goty edition so i can play this already! to me dark souls and demons souls rank up in best games of all time aswell.

A game with the flaws Skyrim has is nowhere near "one of the best games of all time".

Not that I dislike it or anything, just saying.

@StraightPath

Of course, but I doubt that, to be called one of the best games of all time, Skyrim has an excuse to feature its horrid combat system, cringe-worthy use of archaic english, and the technical issues present, all which other games of the same genre don't feature, or have at least tried in noteworthy and exemplary ways.

Regardless, give it a few months before almost nobody remembers Skyrim and the hype train has yet another destination. One of the best games of all time, they say right now- a few months, it'll be another that is.

StraightPath4968d ago (Edited 4968d ago )

every game has flaws... even the best games of all time.

jaidek4968d ago

No, Skyrim will not fade into obscurity as fast as other hyped games because this title has so much life breathed into its world and infinite replayibility. Not to mention future DLC and of course the PC mods.

Sure the game has some flaws and Bethesda will continue patching them. But even with them, this game is solid. I have to agree that it's on my list of best games, mainly due to the experience.

MS could compress their games on disc

Skyrim is still my favorite ES game. I’m playing through it again right now since I never finished it.

jznrpg30d ago

Morrowind is by far my favorite. But I’m getting old and played Daggerfall Morrowind and Oblivion before Skyrim

ActualWhiteMan39d ago

Yeah totally. Definitely won’t be hacking it Nintendo 🤞🏻

Fallout and Skyrim show us that talented developers make great games when you leave them alone

That judicious lack of oversight permeated everything in Bethesda's RPGs, in a positive fashion.

Christopher69d ago

I much prefer a left alone Obsidian and Larian Studios. Bethesda's formula has grown old for me.

anast67d ago

Larian hit another level with DOS:2 and then took it even further with BG3. They do high quality work.

Skyrim was a letdown compared to previous games and so was Fallout 4

Kosic67d ago

I agree, I found it an interesting game. But nowhere near worth the hype (unless you include mods)

dmonee68d ago

Skyrim blew my mind when it released. That game took me to the gaming, promisedland. Going back to it when it was updated for the PS5, it felt slightly rough around the edges, but great for its time

TheColbertinator67d ago

We should leave Obsidian alone. Bethesda on the other hand should be kept under constant psychiatric observation.

anast67d ago

Skyrim feels like the game was made in a hurry with a disorganized team.

At this point, if you still don't have these games, just wtf are you even doing?
