You've heard the buzz, read the reviews, and consulted the stars; all signs point to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim being the second coming of Oblivion, only bigger, better, and bolder than its beloved predecessor. And for the most part it is, but there are some definite flaws on this shiny dragon-clutched diamond.
As The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered takes up 125GB, original designer Bruce Nesmith recalls fitting Skyrim into a tiny file size.
Skyrim is still my favorite ES game. I’m playing through it again right now since I never finished it.
That judicious lack of oversight permeated everything in Bethesda's RPGs, in a positive fashion.
I much prefer a left alone Obsidian and Larian Studios. Bethesda's formula has grown old for me.
Skyrim blew my mind when it released. That game took me to the gaming, promisedland. Going back to it when it was updated for the PS5, it felt slightly rough around the edges, but great for its time
We should leave Obsidian alone. Bethesda on the other hand should be kept under constant psychiatric observation.
Big Bethesda Nintendo Switch eShop sale now live with lowest prices ever for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Doom (2016), and more.
this game is off the hook
Lol even the bes game ever has issues nothing is perfect!
The only real issue I've had with the game so far is the UI on PC - it looks much nicer than Oblivions from a visual perspective, but, for fear of resorting to horrid elitist clichés, was clearly designed for a controller, and just doesn't translate well at all to M&K, it's really clunky.
I've been playing the PC version with a 360 controller (on both monitor and TV), and it is fantastic! The biggest disappointment is when I have to stop playing.
Wants EA to make a RPG using Frostbite 2...
Animation, check
Hair, ok
I don't think I have seen any load times (not even on console).
OK, high resolution textures might be a noticable bit late sometimes... (especially kill camera)
Combat, exchanging blows? Nah. Combat should be quicker - quicker combat would be easier to get right.
Dragons, already exists in the battlefield - flying around breathing deadly fire...
