Pre-order Guide for the Week of 11-07-2011

What an incredible week for games. There is a new LEGO Harry Potter game, which might not excite the more hardcore gamers out there, but it’s still going to sell gangbusters. There is Mario’s long awaited debut on the 3DS which takes Nintendo's new handheld a step closer to being a must-own system. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is coming out, which is very likely to break sales records. Finally, the game that so many have been waiting for since they finished Oblivion, which is Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. With all of these amazing games coming out, you have to wonder where the best place to buy them is. Read on!

Skyrim preorders are really not that good. I guess they don't need good preorder bonuses.

arnyftw4969d ago

idk, maybe not in the US, in the UK Skyrim is higher than Battlefield 3, and its 3rd or 4th after MW3 being 1st and 2nd.

Direzap4968d ago

Pre orders in the US for skyrim are just fine. 3rd on the list, just below mw3.

What, you don't want a premium cloth map??

Ren_4969d ago

Gamestop in Ireland are giving two Elder Scroll novels with collector edition preorders for Skyrim :)

This offer may extend to the UK but I am not sure.

MS could compress their games on disc

Skyrim is still my favorite ES game. I’m playing through it again right now since I never finished it.

jznrpg20d ago

Morrowind is by far my favorite. But I’m getting old and played Daggerfall Morrowind and Oblivion before Skyrim

ActualWhiteMan30d ago

Yeah totally. Definitely won’t be hacking it Nintendo 🤞🏻

Fallout and Skyrim show us that talented developers make great games when you leave them alone

That judicious lack of oversight permeated everything in Bethesda's RPGs, in a positive fashion.

I much prefer a left alone Obsidian and Larian Studios. Bethesda's formula has grown old for me.

anast58d ago

Larian hit another level with DOS:2 and then took it even further with BG3. They do high quality work.

Skyrim was a letdown compared to previous games and so was Fallout 4

Kosic58d ago

I agree, I found it an interesting game. But nowhere near worth the hype (unless you include mods)

dmonee58d ago

Skyrim blew my mind when it released. That game took me to the gaming, promisedland. Going back to it when it was updated for the PS5, it felt slightly rough around the edges, but great for its time

TheColbertinator58d ago

We should leave Obsidian alone. Bethesda on the other hand should be kept under constant psychiatric observation.

anast58d ago

Skyrim feels like the game was made in a hurry with a disorganized team.

At this point, if you still don't have these games, just wtf are you even doing?
