Some look fantastic but other areas just look awful.

qwertyz4981d ago

its on console what do you expect neither console(ps3/360) is as powerful as even an ultra spec 2005 pc and to make matters worse they both only have 512mb ram.

the pc version will be a generation ahead its already been confirmed by the developers

Bigpappy4981d ago

Don't judge from these shots. Who is to say how good the quality and the source?

stu8884981d ago

pal do me a favour. Uncharted 3 looks better than any 2005 PC game - fact!

Skyrim will not be a gen ahead of consoles, a bit like BF3 wasn't.

the good parts is when you are far away from everything, the bad part is when you are somewhat close to an object and can see the low-res textures

meant2live344981d ago

I have to disagree. I thought they all looked awesome

Captain Qwark 94981d ago

blah who the hell cares if a few textures look bad here and there, overall its a pretty nice looking game and a rather large upgrade from oblivion.....

and to be honest i played morrowind for years and that games graphics were *ss compared to almost anything out at the time but you know what? still my fav game ever to this date......until friday anyway ;

Same here. I've never seen these before and yet, there are two people here claiming they're "old" in a row. Same account, perhaps?

sohaben4981d ago

No, old pictures are old pictures..why would someone use a different account to state something like that?

Scizz4981d ago

no. not the same....thats not even worth it.

aviator1894981d ago (Edited 4981d ago )

These just make me want to dive into this world even more.
The art style in this game is just fantastic.

I really hate this game...

For making me have that "have to wait 4 more days" feeling...

MS could compress their games on disc

raWfodog42d ago (Edited 42d ago )

Skyrim is still my favorite ES game. I’m playing through it again right now since I never finished it.

jznrpg32d ago

Morrowind is by far my favorite. But I’m getting old and played Daggerfall Morrowind and Oblivion before Skyrim

ActualWhiteMan42d ago

Yeah totally. Definitely won’t be hacking it Nintendo 🤞🏻

Fallout and Skyrim show us that talented developers make great games when you leave them alone

That judicious lack of oversight permeated everything in Bethesda's RPGs, in a positive fashion.

Christopher71d ago

I much prefer a left alone Obsidian and Larian Studios. Bethesda's formula has grown old for me.

anast70d ago

Larian hit another level with DOS:2 and then took it even further with BG3. They do high quality work.

jznrpg70d ago (Edited 70d ago )

Skyrim was a letdown compared to previous games and so was Fallout 4

Kosic70d ago

I agree, I found it an interesting game. But nowhere near worth the hype (unless you include mods)

dmonee70d ago

Skyrim blew my mind when it released. That game took me to the gaming, promisedland. Going back to it when it was updated for the PS5, it felt slightly rough around the edges, but great for its time

TheColbertinator70d ago

We should leave Obsidian alone. Bethesda on the other hand should be kept under constant psychiatric observation.

anast70d ago

Skyrim feels like the game was made in a hurry with a disorganized team.

At this point, if you still don't have these games, just wtf are you even doing?
