300 hour game? I like gaming as much as the next guy but if you are putting hundreds of hours into a game you might need to look up the following words in the dictionary:

1. Outside

2. Job

3. Woman

4. Life

Disagrees will be from those who have none of the above and if they do they should probably add the term "quality" before a few.

lets all pretend that you are playing the game for 300 hours straight going through more diapers than a well fed toddler. I've put over 300 hours in many shooters and I am well acquainted with all of the above

EDIT: What do you mean 'quality'? Have you ever heard of playing in moderation? No one plows through a game for months straight. Over a couple of months to a year, I've spent 300 hours of my time playing certain games. I don't see how you can't fathom the thought of this. There are 8 765.81277 hours in a year, this is divided up between gaming and all of the above.

It's not a 300 hour game. You are able to beat it less than 5 hours and can spend 300 hours playing it. You can spend 300 hours playing any game

True, but I think 300 hours means you can only reach complete satisfaction (finish every side quest & achievements and stuffs) with that amount of time. Other games, it will take you less time to do that.

For some reason this game doesn't appeal to me. Not saying it's going to be bad but I find that the more I try to find what's so good about this game, the less atractive it seems. Can anyone explain what's so good about it please?

If you've ever played a game like Fallout 3 then your going to like it. If you havent played Fallout 3 then I dont know what your waiting for. I first looked at Fallout3 and immediately didn't like it, then I tried it and now its in my top 10 games of all time. You hav to try something before you judge it, looking at videos just wont do it.

Not to be rude, but if you have to ask, just move on to the next game that does appeal to you.
But if you really do want a few reasons,
1-standing on a snow covered mountian peak as the wind blows and the sun rises in the distance - awesome sense of being in the game
2- it's like being in amazingly detailed d&d universe
3-incredible music
4-awesome magic-summon zombies to do your bidding - posess a deer to be your pet/follow you around
5-exploring/discovering beautiful/scary/amazing locations-items
6-really cool enemies
7-amazing missions such as journeying into a painting and destroying ghosts in a house in the painting to retrieve the stolen unicorn scrotum of happy fun land( it could happen)
well I could go on and on, but just go buy it from gamestop, play it, and if you don't like it after giving it a decent chance, you can always return it. God I can't wait for this!!

Bethesda games like TES IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, and the upcoming TES V: Skyrim are the best form of escapism provided in video game form. They go to great lengths to create a rich, detailed environment that simulates an entire "other world" you can get lost in for hours and hours at a time. Years later I'm still finding new things in both Oblivion and Fallout 3.

This preview just sold me. I wasnt sure if I'd like this game but its openness makes it sound amazing. The fact that it makes you feel like youre a part of the world is something most games fail to do.

Wow nice I put over 200hrs into Oblivion including all the dlc that came out but that was spread over time.

And with that guy that made that comment I am guessing he has been playing games for years so why don't we total that up and see how much life he doesn't have? *Rolls eyes*.

Anyways still shocked 3.8gb, amazing visuals, huge environments, tons of voice acting, dungeons small and large, dynamic weather effects, branches on trees have weight to them and 300hrs of game time WOOT!
