Battlefield 3: Slow PCs Get Console-Graphics - Only Minimum-Details

EA and Dice revealed that the minimum specs for Battlefield 3 are only for gamers who like to play in 720p and minimum details. It's for very slow PCs and its looking like you're playing the console version of the game.

Well I would still buy the game on PC even if i had a minimum spec PC. Why?

Because i can run it at console graphics right now.

And in the future if i do decide to upgrade, my game looks better, with console i am limited.

Hence even if my PS3 copy runs on the PS4 it will still be running at PS3 resolutions, oh yea i can wait on the console makers to sell me another HD remake lol. With PC if i ever upgrade i instantly get a better looking game.

Nothing except that you play with a controller, it's minimum detail, 720P- and 24 players in every game mode.

Game will still be one of the if not the best FPS on ps3/360.

It sounds like EA wants BF3 to be able to run on as many PCs, laptops, & high-end netbooks as possible, just like with Bad Company 2. Good. :)

The minimum specs for the game is direct x10 on PC. So even a low end computer should probably have a fairly good graphics card,netbooks won't cut it.

And laptops graphics chips are often worse than their name suggests... named to sound great...

slow and FAST pc's get framerate lag... i cant put up with mediocre graphics, but cant stand a terrible framerate.

if you have frame drag on a fast computer, drop the graphics settings, it's not that hard...

I built a mid-range PC back in summer 2008. I know it can't run BF3.

If you're going to get console-graphics on a PC game you might as well buy it for PS3.
