Travis at The Controller Online writes:" Lets start with the campaign. I promise no spoilers, but the campaign was foolish. We pick up where the story left of at the end of Gears 2. So after blowing up Jacinto in Gears 2, which was another failed attempt to destroy our enemy. We start Gears 3 on a boat called Sovereign and it’s all sorts of epic from there. Marcus continues to search for his father and after getting new information about his whereabouts the mission switches focus to try to find his father, as he appears to have a new solution to the Lambent and Locust problem. Your mission takes you all over the place, revisiting places from Gears 1 and 2. Dom also deals with letting go of his wife at which time we also see a crucial twist in the game. While trying to avoid spoilers, I will say that the gameplay was much smoother and something about it made me want to play more and more. The story was so good, I never knew what was going to happen next."
For those who don't have time for massive open worlds or role-playing games with epic tales, these 15 games are worth checking out.
Gears of War 3 and Judgement servers have returned to their "updated" condition, adding several features, such as increased XP and more.
I currently play Gears 3 often, especially after the 60 FPS Boost. Gears of War is my favorite gaming franchise, and the Locusts are the coolest faction in history. Gears Judgment will always be a disgrace for not having the Locust in VS multiplayer.
GoW 3 and Judgement were the last installments before the series went woke and soulless. I'm level 50 in GoW 3 and LOVE it's multiplayer to death. It's just so crispy.
The Xbox 360 is one of the most successful consoles ever made, and the best games in its library are a huge part of why.
That is the most "normie" list that I ever saw. This does make some sense given the console in question, but still.
Might as well list it as the One's top twenty as well since all it had for games was backward compatibility.
I agree with this review. Unbiased and I like that!
As some know, I am a Graphics Whore. The most impressive game of this generation. It really needs to be seen to be believed. Drakes Fortune (1-2) was the lead for a long time but as of right now, Gears is leading!
game is getting a lot of full marks , epic games have done really well
Looks friggin Awesome... Great reviews all around. Thinking that release delay to get things "smokin'" has worked in epics favour,
Definitely get this once I get through my gaming "pile of shame"
To many games that I need to finish first...
I have to admit, I've been playing the campaign and I'm feeling underwhelmed by the experience. I haven't played any multiplayer yet, but I'm not impressed by what I've played so far. I'm not saying it's not good, it's just not what I was expecting based on the glowing reviews I guess. Maybe it's me. Maybe I'm finding the slow, shuffling movements of the gears hard to adapt to coming from playing other faster paced games. Maybe over the next few days of play my mind will adjust. But at the moment, I'm not terribly impressed.
