But this is a game of refinement, not reinvention. Capps is right in that games are at their best and most interesting when they are teaching us something new. Gears of War 3 has nothing new to say to its audience, only more lavish and breathless adjectives to throw our way. It is, at times, nothing short of spectacular, and there is a robustness and polish to every aspect of the game that makes it consistently enjoyable. But for the series and the studio that crafted it, it’s time to pursue novelty once again.

I currently play Gears 3 often, especially after the 60 FPS Boost. Gears of War is my favorite gaming franchise, and the Locusts are the coolest faction in history. Gears Judgment will always be a disgrace for not having the Locust in VS multiplayer.
GoW 3 and Judgement were the last installments before the series went woke and soulless. I'm level 50 in GoW 3 and LOVE it's multiplayer to death. It's just so crispy.

You cant base a GoTy cotender in some reviews... That way Mass Effect 2 and RdR wouldnt have been GoTies last year since they got some 75 and 8s.

I might get an xbox for this game. What other exclusives should I get? I had a launch xbox when the first Gears came out but I red ringed and never went back, so I'm a little out of touch when it comes to good 360 exclusives that have come out recently.
I ws expecting a higher, after all that hype. I'm still renting it as previously planned.
