GamesRadar - So Gears of War 3 is brilliant. You know that now. Myself and Mr. Charlie Barratt certainly know it too. He wrote our review, and I've been happily playing it at home all week. But during that thoroughly rewarding quality time with my sofa, I've noticed something that you really need to be aware of. The difficulty levels in Gears of War 3 are not what you'll expect of the series. They're not what you'll expect at all.

I currently play Gears 3 often, especially after the 60 FPS Boost. Gears of War is my favorite gaming franchise, and the Locusts are the coolest faction in history. Gears Judgment will always be a disgrace for not having the Locust in VS multiplayer.
GoW 3 and Judgement were the last installments before the series went woke and soulless. I'm level 50 in GoW 3 and LOVE it's multiplayer to death. It's just so crispy.
The Xbox 360 is one of the most successful consoles ever made, and the best games in its library are a huge part of why.
That is the most "normie" list that I ever saw. This does make some sense given the console in question, but still.
Sure, the list itself sucks. But that click-saver table-of-contents, every list should have that.
Might as well list it as the One's top twenty as well since all it had for games was backward compatibility.
Expect allot of these articles with headlines like this over the next 3 weeks - some sites want to cash in on the hype with hits.
Not saying that its not more challenging on hardcore but I am sure that normal is no different than Gears 1 and 2 which were ok but not extremely easy like this website suggest.

I hope they didn't make it too easy. I hope games don't continue this trend of dumbing down the gameplay for the lowest common denominator, which would be the casual gamer. This would be the sole game to make me buy a 360, but if it's extremely easy, then I just don't know. I'll play it on my bro's 360 first.

that's ok for me. playing a game on anything but the hardest available difficulty feels like im not really experiencing the game.
