Check out the newest trailer for Silent Hill: Downpour
A breakdown of the best Silent Hill Characters that inspired and frightened gamers.
The sirens are sounding again, beckoning you back to the foggy ghost town as we rank all the Silent Hill games, from the chilling classics to the misguided missteps.
I mostly disagree with Downpour's position. Yeah, the game is not amazing by any stretch of the imagination but is much better than the HD Collection and Homecoming. The main issue is the performance, but that was mitigated by the patches, especially on the PS3. Personally, I put it a little behind Origins and The Room.
Having Restless Dreams as a different entry from Silent Hill 2 is also a choice.
silent hill 2 is definitely the best one out of those.
for me personally, the whole ritual/cult stuff was always so weird to me in all the other games.
No disrespect but I put SH2 over 1. 1 is fantastic, but 2 took it all up a level.
The Ghetto Gamer has been predicting and tracking PS3 prices over the past year. The last few months have seen a massive spike in the pricing of PS3 games, and it may be too late to pick up some of the more rare and hard-to-find ones at a reasonable price. Some of these are nuts.
Again, seen this coming from the start, glad I already bought everything I wanted over the years 👌
Stil remember selling ps3 titles to buy a PS4. but i keept the ones i liked more. Did the same with the titles of the PS4 to get a PS5.
R.I.P Silent Hill.
I thought Korn can somehow adjust its musicality just for this game. I now stand corrected. Seriously, that song is not for an SH game... -_-
2012???? no release this year?
That was.....bad.
I'm sorry, I really don't want to be grouped up with the nay-sayers, but this game is shaping up to be Homecoming 2.
Also i'm not sure if it's the quality of the videos i've seen, but this game is also very hard on the eyes and now ears thanks to korn :P
Still a rent for, though...
Can't say I expected anything hugely different to this.
Even so, I'm still massively disappointed at the developers for not fighting hard enough against the sort of interference from the higher-uppers at Konami that results in decisions like this being made.
Aside from the fan-insulting Korn track, the trailer doesn't fill me with much hope either. I wanted it to, but the mood-destroying, Hollywood-style, super-dynamic camera angles swooping around getting pornographically up close to the smashing and blasting and hitting and blood smears and buses tumbling down hills elicits a heavy sigh. There was a reason Harry Mason's jeep crash in the first game wasn't shown, and no, it wasn't because of technical limitations.
Whatever happened to subtlety in a series that once thrived on it to the envy of all other horror titles?
