Nintendo Unveils New DSi-XL Colors and More

Here is the latest from Nintendo's press release regarding the DSi-XL and a few upcoming games.

What is Nintendo doing!? They have a 3DS on the shelves! Are they now purposely trying to hurt sales? I am really confused with this one.

This is probably going to confuse the consumers even more. So their previous portable console was called the DS, then they released their new console, named the 3DS. Doesn't sound like a new console to your average consumer, a revision maybe. And now they release new colors for their previous console, which essentially makes this the newest "DS"-named console on the shelves... Sure, we know what's going on, but I doubt your average consumer does!

I don't wish anything bad on Nintendo, but they seem to purposely be painting themselves into a corner with this one.

They get money from both(actually, they lose money from every 3DS they sell) So I would bet they don't really care.

Lol... even more proof that they've excepted the fact that interest in the 3DS is dwindling fast.

Do they make a new version of the 3DS nope.. they make a new version of the old DS.. that's like working in reverse.

Well by your logic Sony must think the PS3 will fail since they continue to support the PS2.

Has Sony come out with a new PS2? NOPE.
Did they have the PS2 PS2 Lite PS2i PS2iXL and then make special bundles for the PS2 all the while trying to sell the PS3? NOPE.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the PS2 slim came out in 04 two years before the PS3. They didn't make special versions of it after the PS3 dropped. Sony supports the PS2 less than third party companies do.

Nintendo just came out with the 3DS.. is the 3DS getting new colors? No. Is the 3DS getting the support is should be from Nintendo? No. Why? Because they're too busy making new DSis. They made a retards decision to jump on the 3D bandwagon. This is why in their marketing they talk about 3D less and less. Nobody cares about that crappy gimmick. They've realized that now and have back peddled to the DSi.

That's working in reverse.
