Sick of all the hand-holding in games these days, this writer reflects back on an era that tested one's dedication and prowess.
Here is a look at all the confirmed PlayStation 5 Pro-enhanced game that are know of so far, featuring first-party games, and more.
Did I read this right that some of the partners will release free updates so others might charge for it? This level of greed is getting absurd. Many games got paid next generation update so I guess now that’s a thing
In my personal opinion
I see NOOOOOOOOOO difference in graphics comparing it to regular PS5 graphics...I'll pass until PS6
I didn’t watch the reveal, but expected ~100 games on that list. There are only 14 titles?
WTH were they thinking?
PlayStation's Back to School sale includes big discounts on a bunch of PS5 exclusives, including Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
With Elden Ring's DLC Shadow of the Erdtree coming this month, JDR takes a look back at the greatest Soulsborne bosses. To start with, those of Dark Souls.
I do love the satisfaction that comes with beating a "hard" game.
I like challenges. When I play Mega Man games I only use the regular buster against bosses and barely touch the others until the final dungeon.
I'm kind of over the traditional "difficulty settings" of old. If games want to be challenging nowadays, they provide tough spots that don't deviate from the main premise of the game, which also don't cause me to throw my controller.
The problem is, a lot of the current gen gamers are just kids or big kids, AKA childish adults (not ALL, but a lot) who get frustrated when they can't do something that requires they develop a little skill or patience, so rage quit and send their controller flying across the room.
Not all games should be hard but damn it! some should be!
If you suck at some thing that's your fault not the fault of the thing you are sucking at, either get better or stop what you're doing. Don't just complain saying it should be easier, that's like not being able to play the guitar right away and demanding they remove most of the strings!
Most peoples solution to this problem is if the game isn't hard enough for you play on a harder difficulty, well that's all well and good if there's that option, but most of the time the harder difficulty is just giving you the challenge the normal setting should have provided. I could equally argue though that if the game is too hard for you, play it on a easier setting if possible.
I don't want to right a mountain of text so I'll just end by saying this, some games are meant to be enjoyed and some games are meant to be beaten.
