GameDynamo - "While Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure appears to be aimed at young gamers, it could end up appealing to veteran players as well. Helping that along are the writers from Toy Story, Joel Cohen, and Alec Sokolow (creating the backstory in the game), as well as Hans Zimmer, a well-known film score composer, creating the music."
This thing looks to be the most cynical product I have ever seen from Activision. Overly marketable characters that you need to pay extra to collect? This looks like the kind of thing designed specifically to get the money of pre teens obsessed with pokemon.
WTF have they done to his character design!?!
The gameplay doesn't look that bad, however, its a very big marketing ploy. which will cause me to look the other way.
I guess i'm old, but remember the days, when you use to unlock content, form characters to new levels? Those were the days... now its all DLC that you have to pay for, or in this case, buy expensive action figures.
oh, how my childhood playstation heroes have been raped over the years.
