Treyarch Hiring for Black Ops 2

Amidst plenty of ‘Modern Warfare’ news, it seems that ‘Black Ops’ fans can get excited too. New rumors are strongly pointing to a direct sequel in the works at Treyarch.

'Black Ops 2' has been in the works before Black Ops was even released. My guess is a good 8-12 months prior.. While it may not have been the entire team at Teryarch, it would certainly be a group of 20-50 people initially. Ya know, concept, art, story, writing etc. And then as soon as Black Ops went gold, it was full steam ahead with programming for 2... Awww the Activision cash cow.. Enjoy it while it lasts Bobby!

We are looking for someone who really doesn't care about making COMPLETE games. Someone who won't mind be bent over by the boss company and most importantly, you have to be willing to make the same game for the next 10 years.. After that, it's gravy. You get to CV that you worked on the biggest gaming franchise in history, you get to make a average salary, you get to work with mediocre technology AND you totally get to not create an original idea!!!

Activision is going to run this franchise into the ground and ruin it.

It's a shame, the game is often very good but I'm already kinda sick of the same thing each year.

COD4 innovated tremendously, it was a totally novel experience for me but the rest are just variants of that exact same formula. They never improve on the game significantly, each iteration is exactly the same but with a different coat of paint. They don't even refine the game with each new release.

I truly did not get all the hate towards Black Ops, i mean, aside from the typical, short COD campaign, the game was pretty good, the multiplayer had variety in both maps and weapons (which BTW were very balanced compared to the disaster they were in MW2), i had fun playing zombies with my friends and Dead Ops Arcade was just genius, MW2 on the other hand was more of a disappointment but only because people camped and spammed the granade launcher WAY too much.

most people probably hate it because the maps are small as hell, and the only real things that have changed is the weapons available and maps = dlc. the game is not worth $60 everytime they come out with a new one

The multiplayer is the same shit, they are just modifying cod 4 over and over again and it's getting fucking old.

+ They don't give a shit about the fanbase! a game that sell as well as CoD should have dedicated servers on all platforms but NO, instead it has P2P servers with the worst hit-detection in FPS history.

+ Halo is at least more unique as a console FPS. It is as close at it gets to the old school pc shooters on a console, and the singleplayer is more challenging than cod game's.
