Alan Wake: Kinect, Prequel, or Multi-Platform?

Think people THINK. Microsoft swooped in and signed an exclusive deal with Remedy for Alan Wake. They also owned the rights to sequels.

They are going to show gameplay and announce what this is AT THE MICROSOFT EA CONFERENCE.

If anything to do with another platform it would be P.C.
If we use our heads we can see it's either P.C. related, Expansion pack or Kinect related.

Don't take this the wrong way. I think it will still be 360 only.

HOWEVER!

Everyone said the same thing about Mass Effect 2. Alan Wake was not the biggest hit, and if MS did not word the contract right, than Remedy MIGHT be able to walk to another publisher with the game.

I am not saying that it is confirmed. But stuff like this has happened in the past. But I do NOT think that is the case here. Alas one cannot rule it out completely.

Just research Alan Wake here on N4G. There was a story that says this "The game was originally planned to release on three platforms - PS3, PC and 360 - but, following a deal with Microsoft, Remedy dropped Sony's console from the mix."

There were also articles where Remedy were hiring people "Familiar with Xbox 360 dev kits"

Also to people pointing out Mass Effect, The first one was exclusive and published by Microsoft, just like Alan Wake. Thus like Mass Effect 1, it cannot be published by another company.

Also if you do a little research you can find another article stating that a Alan Wake sequel was strictly UP TO MICROSOFT.

Just because it's not called Alan Wake 2, doesn't mean it can't follow on from Alan Wake 1.

The devs would have to be real bungholes to make this a kinect game. So i am pretty sure it will be a core title. It could go multiplatform since Microsoft doesn't have any exclusive rights to the game. My only wish is that it becomes available on all consoles.

LOL this game is coming to PS3 just watch. MS is loosing all they games. MS mostly support shooters. About 90% of 360 gamers play shooters.

And just because MS owns the game does't mean they won't sell it.

Most likely going to be a sequel and maybe using Kinect. I hope it gives the option to use a controller though.
