Skyrim: First Look

Yeah. This is the game I want more than any other this year. If this is made anything like Morrowind, it could very well hurt my job performance and attendence.

i would say overall this year has had a lot of hyped titles that didnt deliver......killzone, socom, kinect in general

Well I was talking about titles coming out later in the year anyway. The last couple of months this year are insane.

Socom was not hyped for crying out loud.

No one gives two craps about that franchise.

Killzone was hyped to death and delivered in some areas but not in others.

Dragon Age 2 did not deliver.

Dead Space 2 was excellent, LBP2 was top-notch. It's still early. Most of the heavy hitters aren't out yet.

We still have Infamous 2, Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Rage, Brink, Batman AC, Guild Wars 2, Diablo 3, Skyward Sword, Gears 3, Last Guardian, Ico Collection, Deus Ex, Portal 2, Resistance 3, Mass Effect 3, Witcher 2.... only off the top of my head.

Even if half of those games are as good as expected, I'd say this is a banner year for gaming.

I don't want this game more than any other, but it's definitely in my top 5. My list goes something like:

1) Uncharted 3
2) inFamous 2
3) Skyrim
4) Battlefield 3
5) [the one I'm forgetting but will recognize when I see it]

Portal 2 isn't on there because it's out in 2 days...

No kidding. If morrowind was given a current-gen make over, I might consider faking my death in order to play.

Still, Skyrim looks amazing :)

...obscure websites do their "first looks" at high profile games, that everyone other than them did the REAL "first looks" months ago. There's ZERO new info here...just read GameInformer issue that featured Skyrim, watch the recent gameplay trailer, and you're up to speed. This is just a waste of time.

I can't wait to play the game but I wonder if they fixed the horse issues in the game. Haven't heard anything about that.

I love articles that just pull all data from around the web through research then claim to have had an exclusive first hand experience with a game. Point is, get something new not recycled information.

I agree with the posters above, this game is definitely my most anticipated game of this year by a long shot. Oblivion was my first console RPG and was fun as hell, much better than Fallout 3 IMO.

Im starting to think after delivering Oblivian, Fallout3, Fallout:Vegas and a few others this gen, i feel they should have kept this one for the Next Gen Consoles along with GTA 5 and Gran Turismo 6, And Mass Effect 3... Or im not sure how to explain it, cant Belive sometimes its only 1 Game a Whole Gen , Like Twisted Black' i remember waiting the whole ps2's life for a damn sequel ... Watching sweet tooth transform into a Badd A$$ Mech was the sole reason i felt i needed a ps2, same as GTA 4 was the sole reason i Needed my $600 ps3' plus the Backward Compatabilty and the Hd Upscaling it did to my ps2 Collection Was Awesome

If game companys are going Bankrupt this gen for releasing an average game , Wonder whats gunna happen next gen and if games will cost $70 new' they shouldnt as seeing that they'll be nearing PC quality. And pc games usually cost $50 new... I like the idea of sony and various developers teaming up to create the NGP, i think Naughty Dawg, Dice, Bioware, Crytec, and Guerilla , Rockstar, CodeMasters and other greats should help with the PS4 also

Does anyone else realize there is little viability in this article? I mean really; there is nothing new being presented here. In terms of information, this article is really just retelling the same facts and featured that has been compiled from other sources. It's just a summary of everything else and contains thumbnail'ed screen-shots that have been around since they first started releasing information from the game. Even the headline, "Skyrim: First Look" is a total misnomer.
