Bitmob: Why super-hero games fail

The problem with most super-hero video games isn't bad graphics, cheap gameplay, or horrible writing. It's you.

Superman 64 must be one of the 10 most-referenced N64 games of all times, even if it's for all the wrong reasons. But yeah, original superheroes tend to do better in video games than licensed ones.

just the bad ones do.

Licensed ones could be much better if they didnt try to fit everything into one game. Its ok to split content up over the span of several games if need be. Make the story for that game as rich and involving as possible.

Batman AA is a nice example. There are far more bad guys in the batman series than what is depicted. Leaving some to be available in another game.

inFamous.

BEST SUPERHERO GAME EVER.

Batman:AA would be right up there too, but I found you just played it and then never touched it again.

I found infamous to be boring compared to Arkham Asylum. Heck, even Prototype was a better superhero game than Infamous.

oh and X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a BLAST to play.

Batman: Arkham Asylum's powerful intro paves the way to an excellent gameplay experience, even almost 15 years later.
