CFD!'s Sage Knox checks out the latest entry in the long-running Total War series:
"It’s difficult for anyone who isn’t a dedicated fan of Creative Assembly’s real-time strategy titles to keep track of all the games in the Total War series. With Total War: Shogun 2, the series revisits its roots — and by roots, I mean the original title on which the seven (!) others were based."
Whether it's warfare or politics you want, the best Medieval strategy games offer some of the most advanced gameplay out there.
Sega is giving away free copies of Total War: Shogun 2 on Steam in an effort to encourage fans to stay home. Fans will need to claim their free copy before May 1.
Why do I even bother buying games anymore when they are given out free 9 years later.
You'd think they'd put a link to the steam page in the article, but strangely the only link I could find was to the metacritic page.
Total War: SHOGUN II will be free on Steam next week. The giveaway is being featured by SEGA, who are encouraging people to stay at home
It's games like this that make me glad I don't have a PC. I don't have time to get sucked in to another strategy game. :P
I tried to get into this again but I guess most RTS aren't for me... I love StarCraft, but this Shogun game felt a little TOO demanding for me. :(
Luckily for me I've never been fond of RTS games, so I'm safe.
i wish i had a gaming pc to play this. rts games rule and this one looks really fun.
my laptop runs this at 30-40 frames, my desktop runs it at 100+
maxed of course,
This game is better than 95% of console games without question.
i own a ps3, 360,ipod,ds,wii,ps2,gamecube, and there has never been a single game on any of them that compare to the depth of strategy games on pc, or fps, or rpg's or mmo's, or Turn based, or indie
Consoles are great for platformers, god of war/ninja gaiden action games and ummmmm...thats it for me
I own all those hunks of plastic for their exsclusives only
any multiplat is 100x better on pc, i cannot stand all the jaggies in console games these days, they need to turn the graphics down and turn up the damn aa, and stop with these awful sub-hd resolutions (alan wake 940x540, splinter cell conviction 940x576...lol....GROSS)
