Homefront Review | Game Critics

GC: Set in the near future when a mass of global crises somehow enables a united Korea to conquer most of the United States, the player is cast as a revolutionary trying to help fight back. The plot is so thin Tom Clancy himself would probably be put to shame, and that isn't the worst part-I've played games with awful stories before and lived to tell about it. The most insulting thing about Homeftont is how it constantly tries to trick the player into believing it's special.

F'off with your bullshit review. 3?...Go get site hits elsewhere

chasegarcia5143d ago

A 3/10 seems low. I will give it 5/10.

DelbertGrady5143d ago

I'd give the SP a 4/10 and the MP a 9/10. It's like two separate games.

bumnut5143d ago

change it to a 4/10 and a 6/10 and I will give you an agree :)

"Homeftont"

There is a run on sentence that doesn't really make much sense. Thin plots somehow put Tom Clancy to shame? Huh? You've lived through games with awful stories? Trying to trick the player into believing that the game is special is the most insulting thing about it? Why is there so much drama being flogged about here? Can we talk about the game and not how it violates some imaginary social contract about how games are supposedly properly expected to do things?

Could you please at least proof read your ridiculous crap "controversy-drama" reviews before you post them ?

I've never played the game. mainly because of being unimpressed by the new screens and videos, but also because I am getting tired of FPS's, but I find it hard to believe that you, Palaeomerus, can find no logic in what the author was saying.

The CONCEPT of homefront is neat. but it sounds as though the execution of certain plot elements make it much more exaggerated than it already is.

Black Ops had a fun story; but the intense soundtrack and slow motion and the screaming and blood flying all over the place can't hide the sheer implausibility of plot and story arc.

I think of movies that take a unique situation and turn it into a wannabe tear-jerker for no reason whatsoever, as if the simple plot enforced the melodrama as it plays out.

I think of the SAW series, 300, Matrix Trilogy and just about every spaghetti western out there to better illustrate my point, which is quite obvious.

Ok Im usually not one to come and defend a game if someone gives it a low score.

But a 3!!! WTF!!!

A 3 is for a game like Battle LA. And even I would rate that a 3....a 4 or 5.

Homefront is NOT a 3 out of 10. A 3 is for a game that is unplayable and not fun...a game that is horrible on ALL levels.

Me personally I would say a sold 7. Good but not great.

DOnt want to knock this guys opinion but a THREE (3)???
