"Aliens vs. Predator (AvP) bore the weight of heavy expectations, despite following two very poor attempts at AvP movies. News of the upcoming movie, Predators, had anticipation building, and then AvP had been banned in Australia for being far too violent. Ever the morbid kind, gamers everywhere took this as good news. If the game was violent enough to get banned, developer Rebellion must have pulled out all the stops to make up for the travesties of the teen-friendly movies." -Tom Dann, GameZone
In the first part of our series we took a look at the inception of horror games. Now we delve deeper and see how they evolved throughout the decades.
"Ever since Xbox One backward compatibility was announced, gamers have been asking for a few high-profile games. While the majority of requests revolve around the Call of Duty franchise, the Aliens and Sonic franchises have been other hot series. Today, Microsoft announced that Aliens vs. Predator, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and Sonic Unleashed are now backward compatible."
Kingdoms of Amalur was brilliant. Never did get a sequel because all the crap that happened after with the IP.
It looks as though the 2010 first person shooter, Aliens vs Predator might become a Xbox Backwards Compatible title soon based on its revamped Xbox Store product page.
Been playing the shit out of it on PS3. Hopefully this gives the game another lease of life. Such an underrated game imho.
Campaign ---- Defend this spot from a horde. The was the campaign.
Online ---- Animated kills from behind. The game appears to be somewat fast paced. Kills from behind make you vunerable. I would much prefere to have a kill that doesn't hinder your abilty to play, it leaves you open, sometimes you would have 5 or 6 kill in a row from behind, it was rediculous, it's all for the cool factor though right?
I know what went wrong - it was fucking terrible.
Having an absolute fail demo didn't help the cause. I was somewhat on the fence before that - quickly fell off of the fence and went back to another ME2 playthrough.
the game.
Me and some friend bought it when it was $6 on Steam. I gotta say, it's funny as hell when you're playing with just your friends.
I only played this game once, it was an average game for me. The controls were very clumsy, and it was too generic.
