IGN: Two Worlds II Review

The inventive spell system and multiplayer element don’t make Two Worlds II good, unfortunately. They provide good points for brave RPG fans to find some purchase and explore the game, though. Two Worlds II has a lot of potential, but ultimately, it can’t fulfill the lofty ambitions that Reality Pump set for it and comes up shorter than it probably would have for the trouble.

IGN are still so biased lol. Again lol

RedDead5226d ago (Edited 5226d ago )

I guess all the average reviews on two worlds 2 are all biased rght? They're all wrong? This reminds me of AvP 2010, very mixed reviews/

Bigpappy5226d ago (Edited 5226d ago )

I don't care about the score. But I assure you that what he is saying about unresponsive controls and the horse's legs poking out are not in the 360 verion I am playing. I didn't notice any breast hanging out either (not saying it is not there. I just didn't notice it. That would not bother me anyway).

I am enjoying this game. The fights are rather satisfying for and RPG. I think reviewer have lost touch on what gamers are looking for and concider a good game. Especially an RPG.

MajestieBeast5226d ago

So you just clicked both the reviews of two worlds and bionic commando 2 to say that? Sad troll has a sad life.

@ MajestieBeast ]

Thats just too funny!

I commented on two reviews by IGN and noticed there wasnt a sh*t storm in the comments section, I then wondered why?

then it came to me, of course it is not a PS3 game that is being reviewed, hence no one cares about the score, right?

I actually own a PS3 and a 360 but im a bit old to be thinking that there is a big Conspiricay against the PS3 and its games, seriously, lol!!

Im going to be picking up KZ3 at the end of the month and I cant wait for it, I just find it hysterical and I actualy mean HYSTERICAL when Fanboys (on both sides) lose the plot, because a game they have had no real time with doesnt get the score THEY think it deserves.

Only on the internet lol

mobijoker5226d ago

I really do think that rpg reviewers should post their quest log and save menu for credibility of reviews.Only playing through the main quest of an rpg does not gives a clear view of the game.Atleast 75% of all sidequests should be finished to review a game. Some sidequests in rpgs are more interesting than main quest.
As for the game i rate it at 8.Less buggy and more beautiful than new vegas, more depth than fable 3 and simply the most innovative magic system in any game. Those are facts and if that converts to 6,i have really some questions to ask about many 80-90 games.

Stealth20k5226d ago

So the average is sub 75 on gamerankings.........

just goes to show you the wrpg genre is held up by bioware/bethesda

Neckbear5226d ago (Edited 5226d ago )

Said it once, I'll say it again:

Bethesda and BioWare are the worst WRPG developers out there.

Both Divinity II and Two Worlds II are better than what those companies shit up. In my opinion, at least.

I mean, would you say that the JRPG genre is held up by Square Enix just because their games have a higher score average than anything the Tales Studio, Nippon Ichi or GUST make?

...Yeah.

Tex1175226d ago

I respectfully disagree with you.

Bioware is doing a much better job than the other wRPG developers in telling a tighter narrative.

Bethesda, well...Oblivion WAS good, but has not aged well. Fallout was good for atmosphere, but we will have to see with Skrim if they can really pull everything together into something special.

Im enjoying Two Worlds II, don't get me wrong, but to say Bioware and Bethesda are the WORST is bit too strong of a statement.

king055226d ago

The uproar about the killzone 3 scores are ridiculous, at least it didn't get blasted like this game.

pr0digyZA5226d ago

I'm actually enjoying this game on PC, I would personally rate it at 80%.

After Nine Years, Two Worlds II Gets Final Single-Player Expansion Next Month

Topware Interactive will deliver the final piece of single-player DLC for its 2010 RPG Two Worlds II early next month.

winter_hill2019d ago

I enjoyed this game on my X360, much better than the first one. Sucks we have to wait so long for TW3. I hope they port this game to PS4/X1 in the meantime, especially after all these updates and new expansions. Would certainly help build some hype for the third entry, at least a little.

rawshack2018d ago

Yes it's a very underrated games I'm all so hoping it gets port to ps4 one day

MadLad2017d ago

Guess they're officially done milking the only passable game they've released. They can always rename Raven's Cry again and pull a couple more sales from the unknowing public.

Played this on PS3 it wasn’t bad for a B game but in no way did it “offer an array of unique approaches to classic game elements” and sure as hell didn’t push any envelopes. Why release this multiplayer so many years later ? They should re-release for this gen consoles for 19.99 with the updates

winter_hill2468d ago

I enjoyed this game, much better than the first one. With Two Worlds 3 coming next year, I would love to see a remaster of this on current gen.

lol what ? i thought this 2010/2011 game was dead already and now they are adding micro transactions ?? at least as the article said they are adding dlcs.

MadLad2899d ago (Edited 2899d ago )

From the same people that provided me a review copy of Raven's Cry then, when I gave the game a 1 due to the fact I found it unfinished, threatened me with defamation (nothing ever happened there).
Then, when they re-released the game on Steam as "Vendetta" claimed everything was fixed (even though it wasn't broken in the first place, right), but then refused to give me code for the re-release.

That re-release sits at a highly negative status on Steam, with most claiming they can't even run the game.
Just saying.

TheColbertinator2899d ago

Raven's Cry was broken. Everything gaming shouldn't be.

MilkMan2899d ago

Huh? I thought this game was done and done?
