'Warhawk' possibly best game ever for PS3

Incognito's highly anticipated online multiplayer game, "Warhawk," hit the shelves both literally and digitally last week.The hype was tremendous. And with no single-player experience, the online multi-player had to be close to flawless.

Sony decided to digitally distribute the game through its PlayStation Network for $40, and while the game was also available on store shelves with a Bluetooth headset, it was $20 more expensive.

It will probably get even better as the updates are applied to it.

IF warhawk had no Ranks people would of gotten tired of this game in 1 week. The pricing was also ridiculous being that it was shipped with many bugs. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but 40$ for half "aszed" work? You don't get everything you are paying for, i.e. a working rank system, or a stable game.

Despite there being a beta, the game still freezes?

Why do I have to quit a game in order to invite a friend to play?

Why are the voice communications scratchy?

Yes the game is still fun, and lived up to some of the hype. But for a game that is multiplayer only and has severe faults.... it's sad.

The player didn't even get all the working features from the back of the box. Game should of been $20 downloadable/40$ for retail.

Resistance was cool, but after playing through the story mode, i played the online a few times and was done with it. i traded that game in months ago.

Heavenly sword is ok for people who like those type of games but its got zero lasting appealing. apartfrom those there is no other ps3 exclusives worth mentioning.
The best games on PS3 this year will be the multiplatform games such as UT3, Call of Duty 4.

How could you say that CG? PS3 had the great Resistance and MotorStorm in the past. The best PS3 games of the year are not multiplatform titles but 2 PS3 first party games, namely Uncharted (From Naughty Dog, creator of excellent Jak & Daxter games plus original Crash on PSone) and Ratchet & Clank Future TOD (Previous games have average score of 9.1, 8.9, 9 and 8.7).

I have warahawk and its an excellent game and i do not doubt their ability to put up such numbers, especially if they get rid of all their networking issues but i jst wanna know what the numbers are like.

Warhawk will remain a top seller in every territory around the world, online or retail. It has the "It" factor from games of old, plus a Teen rating, giving it a mass appeal. Warhawk and it's sequels will do wonders for the Playstation 3. It is hard to bring a old franchise back, Square and Nintendo are the gurus of that. But Sony brought back Warhawk with more appeal than before, good job!

Warhawk is my favorite game of on the PS3. It is a lot of fun. I've never had this much fun with a online shooter like this since the Desert Combat mod for BF1942 on PC.

There was so much chaos in a CTF match trying to defend our base and was racking up huge points but with like 30 dudes fighting over the flag I got booted for to many teamkills do to my overzealous Tank shots at every Warhawk,soldier and opposing forces that got near our flag......was totally worth it...a blast (pun intended).

I think WARHAWK is going to be a sleeper hit/underground hit like HALO was when it first came out. People are going to buy this game for a very very very long time until it is a proven francis for the PS3, right now only hardcore fans are going to buy it until the game becomes even bigger then what it is now. I'm happy the PS3 has a multi-player game like this one, before you can only find games like these on the 360(except RFOM)and thats why I went out and bought a 360.

But times are changing people will see a ton of games on PS3 that will prove that the system is not going to sit around and just lose this gen console war. Right now its true if you want games you go to the 360, but after this holiday session that will all change. Next year is when the PS3 truly shows that the system is to be taken seriously, Q2 08 SONY will drop the price to $400 and by next holiday session 08 $350 to $300. The PS3 is a system that can be compared to China (a sleeping giant).

I hope people don't read this and start a flame war and I hope to god that they don't call me a SONY fanboy(I'm not I love playing both systems and I'm seriously happy I made a investment in both of them)all I'm trying to prove is that people shouldn't sit there and say its over for SONY when games like WARHAWK proves that the system has something to offer all gamers.
