With shades of Space Channel 5, Dance Evolution requires the player to mimic the dance moves displayed on the screen and then use their body to replicate them.
Remember Konami’s Kinect enabled dancing game, Dance Evolution? It lives on in Japan as an arcade game and some arcades leave props for players to wear while dancing to Afronova Primeval.
The Kinect launch has seen some really good games, and some really bad ones. Fortunately, Dance Evolution for the Xbox 360 falls into the former category. Dance Evolution is a dancing game that requires the player to replicate the moves on screen with their body.
Now this might seem quite a task for people with two left feet, but Dance Evolution guides you through the process smoothly. The control system is extremely responsive and picks up even the minutest of movements, making this a whole lot of fun.

From arcades to homes, their heritage in rhythm action (and dancing titles in particular) is long-standing. It’s no surprise then, now that dance mats have arguably had their day, to see Konami quickly adopting Kinect as the natural platform for what many consider as their genre.
It would be unfair to point solely to Dance Evolution for this problem, of course; Dance Central has similar issues. The choice between the two games comes down to your confidence as a dancer or, failing that, your determination to learn. Dance Central correctly guesses that most early adopters of Kinect probably aren’t accomplished dancers. If you’re not the typical Xbox couch potato, Konami’s offering presents a rich and worthwhile challenge. Just be warned: Konami expect you to keep up with their pace."
