Game Interface Review: Front Mission Evolved (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)

The Front Mission series has traditionally been a turn based strategy game that revolves around mechs known as “Wanzers” fighting each other, usually because of a mixture of personal and political reasons. Evolved attempts to take the game in a brand new direction while keeping the story within the same universe. Now instead of trying to plot out your turns, you are in the pilot’s seat and in the thick of the action. Turning any game involving giant machines battling each other in to a action game should feel like an evolutionary step, but Evolved did not make a huge leap forward.

1. Front Mission 5: Scars of the War on PSN.
2. Make a new Front Mission and add Move/Dual Shock support.

They should release Front Mission 3 on PSN/XBLA in America. I still own it on PS1 but it would be great to see others playing it again.

Its sad that games like this exemplify JP devs inability to make games for HD consoles.
