Quantum Theory Requires a Massive Space for Data Installation

This game is horrible and not even worth trying the demo. Initially, when I saw the title of the article I thought the install would be larger. 5 GB isn't huge...however, for this game, a save file is too much wasted space already.

what this game definitely needs, it's a big bargain-price in order to sell, Dante's Inferno was enough for me, NO MORE COPYCATS!!!!

at least as far as dante's inferno goes its not a bad game, but this is down right horrible to play.

Despair, Dante's was a horrible game. Especially if you had already played the god of war's. Just my opinion though! I think it's cool that you actually liked the game, Better for you in the long run. I respect your opinion!

sadly I did play GOW3 before Dante and it did ruin it somewhat, the game is not a masterpiece by any standard and sometimes the use of nudity was down right disgusting and plain creepy but the game played like a weak GOW and that's not so bad. It could have been a lot better though.

Rented this game and wow. I mean, the gameplay is not too, too horrible, but it's just not fun! I played for around 1 hour and I just couldn't take it. It's like Gears of War with everything good taken out.

I almost feel bad for games like this. They get some kind of hype and there's real people who work on games like this, and then eventually they realize they need another year or so to polish but they don't have the time/money so these kinds of games get sent to die basically.

But then the other half of me doesn't feel bad because it's another shooter. It's their own fault for making a game that looks just like Gears. Nobody is going to buy this game instead of Gears or Uncharted and other cover-based TPS. They keep churning out the same crap because they think it'll sell. How about you work on something original or a survival horror since they're so starved this gen. I'd bet money that a good polished survival horror game would sell more than Quantum Theory.

I know Gears was not the first for duck and cover,but this is the most obvious rip-off since great giana sisters(super mario brother) and IO (r-type). They must have had gears on next to them while they coded either drunk or smoking a pipe pf something.
DO you know like those z movies that come out to ride on a coattail of a holly blockbuster. The day the earth stood still got the day the earth stop. Beowulf got grendel and .. 300 got some cheap spartan movie. Maybe I have not chosen the best examples

With large games like Uncharted 2 and Final Fantasy XIII proved fast disk loading directly from disc can optimized on PS3, there are still many game developers who are lazy and take shortcut to dump a large install to the hard drive. Why do they care? It's the gamer that needs to supply a lot of free hard drive space to play the game.

Sony should have required only optional install to the hard drive for any PS3 games after the 1st year to force game developers to do the disk loading optimization. If not, game developers will continue to get lazy to optimize their game loading.

I pretty much play anything that comes out. No matter what system! That being said, i played this game and its just a horrible game. I think everybody needs to let the console war go, and start focusing on games. If every body complained about how crappy games are and not how better there console is developers might get the hint and start making games that are actually wroth buying! Were all gamers and have a console of choice cool, but lets start making AAA games for these console's. More than just 2 to 5 a year. There are way more bad games that come out then good ones.... Just saying

After playing the demo, I was disapointed badly. The game itselfs looks like crap, plays sloppy, and looks exactly the same as when they showed gameplay like last year. Im glad it isn't a ps3 exlcusive anymore, it doesnt deserve to be.

Your right if it would have been exclusive to the 360 it had a chance but with the ps3 being the lead and they can't even make a game that will run with decent framerate and screentearing and it still has to be installed mandatory. No thanks I will pass on both systems but the obvious choice would be the 360 again on this one.

another example of another dev. Finding out that even with massive bluray space that the ps3 is too slow as a reader to keep from installing mandatory. The ps3 is a mess on all levels and the only ones even coming close to keeping the installs down are the first party devs but would you expect any diffrent. Why is it the 360 has none of these mandatory installs that take hours of my time and the ps3 can't seem to work right without them? Please don't say that its because the 360 is not equipped with a harddrive on every unit because if it was the games still run better then they do on the ps3 without the install in most multplat games. BTW I own a ps3 and play there exclusives and they are ok nut I sure don't see that they are miles ahead like most ps3 fans like to think and in most cases they are not even as good in my opinion as the game most brought up is uncharted but the visuals are very easy todo with the cartoon graphics and I gurantee the 360 could handle that game as well. Enough of this rant but I'm stating again why my ps3 sits as nothing more then a bluray player and its because of these time consuming installs that I don't have on the 360 and the games review better on the 360 is wjy I pick up my multi games on the 360. My first ps3 got the ylod in a little over a month. My 360 launch unit lasted 5 years. Mandatory installs and firmware updates every week and a piss poor xmb dash is why the ps3 is a mess.

The data throughput of a 2x BD disc on the PS3 is equivelent to the DVD9 in an Xbox.

This has zero to do with the PS3 being slow...it has to do with devs who don't laydown the data in a way that is optimized for the manner in which BD discs are read.

This is really stupid on their part because the game is crap we all know that now it's a 4.9G install on ps3 this just probably drove away the 10 people that were gonna buy this game on ps3 and we all know the Xbox users are gonna be saving their money for black ops.
