Microsoft has long been gathering its resources for a major, coordinated push into the mobile space with an Xbox Live-enabled games lineup in the works for its Windows 7 phones. Microsoft Game Studios has its own dedicated mobile group -- recently revealed to be under the stewardship of former Midway chairman and CEO Matt Booty.
Midway collapsed amid a complex financial state of affairs triggered by the credit crunch, but Booty says he's excited to have a "unique, fun" new role to play as general manager of MGS' mobile gaming group. "As far as I know, we're the only company that's making a phone that has also got a first-party group dedicated to making games," he says.
Xbox Studios Boss Matt Booty recently discussed accessibility for newcomers to established franchises via SBMM and other methods.
Just create games, let things be the way they’ve always been..
lifting newcomers will actually hurt and demotivate the experienced ones..
Idk how people can hate SBBM….
Oh you don’t want to play sweaty? Too bad, you are good at the game, now play with your skill level.
Winning against noobs shouldn’t be your source of fun. There is no value in Smurfs in a gaming community.
Xbox Game Content and Studios president Matt Booty said Microsoft has a great lineup for Fall and Spring, having finally hit its stride.

"Is Beginning to Hit Its Stride". I'm sure I've heard that somewhere before

Xbox's Matt Booty discusses reactions to the Xbox showcase, shipping Sea of Thieves on PlayStation, closing studios like Tango Gameworks, and more.
Matt Booty:
How It Started:
"Go spend Sony out of business."
How It Is Going:
"We just have great working relationships with the teams at Sony." (Sony is a great partner)
Watch for the sleight of hand.
Hint: Exclusives and launch exclusives are not the same thing.
"When asked about what this means for future Xbox exclusives, Booty reiterates that the teams are evaluating games hitting other consoles on a 'case-by-case basis,' adding that Xbox players can absolutely continue to expect many games to launch as exclusives, and that the 'Xbox promise' that all Xbox first-party games come to Xbox Game Pass will continue to be true."
Majority are coming to PS5, the remainder for the most part don’t have release dates. If by stride you mean fanboy news stride, yes but that is nothing new.
