Games based on media properties are certainly not a new thing so the existence of a game based on the popular FOX television drama, House M.D. should be no surprise to anyone. Legacy Interactive has adapted the show into an adventure/puzzle title for the PC (and the Nintendo DS) that plays out like a shortened season of the show.
IGN - I'm going to keep this one really short, since anyone who's previously read my thoughts on House M.D. -- Episode 2: Blue Meanie or House M.D. -- Episode 3: Skull and Bones should be able to predict where this fourth installment is headed. Yes (shockingly!) it's more of the same.
Jorge from Toronto Thumbs reviews House M.D. for the PC.
From the review:
"Legacy Interactive’s House M.D. for the PC follows the adventures of the ever-cantankerous Dr. Gregory House, diagnostics wizard at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey and is based on the hit television show of the same name. I am a huge fan of the series so I was understandably both excited and fearful when I found out that this game existed. The creators tried hard to have the game live up to the awesomeness of the show. Does it succeed? Check out my diagnosis to find out."
Do we get Bioware/Bethesda dialog choices? Ones ranging from 'funny' to 'total incensitive prick'? I would love that!
Mindscape have announced that it will be releasing House M.D., the official game of the international TV hit, throughout Europe exclusively on Nintendo DS. Developed by Legacy Interactive, House M.D. places gamers at the heart of the medical action, tasking them with solving five unique medical mysteries at the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital.
