Creat Studios’ latest PS3 exclusive is an ageless tribute to a bygone era of videogames – two dimensional in both visuals and gameplay, Skyfighter takes the classic side-on aeroplane shooter and gives it just enough next-gen dazzle, keeping it both deliciously retro and yet simultaneously good looking.
Sky Fighter is a side scrolling airplane game set in the early 1900′s and taking place presumably during WW1. As such the planes are all bi-planes, as one would assume. It has three game modes; Campaign, Air Combat, and Dogfight. During the course of the game you play as three basic planes, with the exception of dogfight which Game-Modo will explain later. Planes include a fast and nimble fighter, medium attacker, and a big slow heavy bomber.
PSUni: "Brought to the Playstation Network by Tik Games, a heavy arcade game developer, SkyFighter is a charming and smooth World War II era side-scrolling shooter. Their 11th PSN game, SkyFighter serves as a culmination of techniques learned through trial and error with previous titles. For $10, you’d only expect a limited experience but Tik has crammed a good bit of gameplay in this title, including local and online multi-player."
Triverse writes, "Creat Studios are lowering some of their biggest titles prices by 50% for their Holiday sales on the Playstation Network. Full list below."
Looks really good. I will definitely pick it up if they sell it for around 10 bucks
or else this game is lame.
Old school, day 1 buy for me. Looks also very cool
Hopefully there is a demo for it so I can try out first buy later.
