GamingBolt writes: "The story of Metroid: Other M has been one of sheer cynicism and initial sceptisicm, followed by gradually growing cautious optimism, until now, finally, as the release of the game is less than a month away, unbriddled anticipation."
With Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty coming soon, it's time to look back at the developer's greatest triumphs...and one oddball favorite.
Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime reflects on Metroid: Other M and his initial high hopes for the game.
Yeah we all loved how you took a stoic badass and turned her into a whiny shrew. All those writers should be sacked.
VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "The early-mid 2000s saw something of a golden age for Metroid games. After an eight year hiatus, Metroid burst back onto the scene in dramatic fashion. Largely buoyed by the critical and financial success of Metroid Prime (at least, relative to other Metroid releases), Metroid saw a whopping six new titles between 2002 and 2007, as well as one rather bizarre pinball spin-off that wound up being much better than it had any right to be. Metroid had never been this popular before."
Never though the day would come where I say this but I’d be fine with having every 2D Metroid remade the way Dread plays.
I wont knock Metroid because I've been a big fan but i doubt that it's going to win Game of the year. Maybe it could win Game of the year on a Nintendo website? but like Spiker's gametrailers would never give game of the year to a Wii game with dated graphics. Just keeping it 100 with yall.
there's GT5 coming up who got multiplayer , Halo reach with campaign and multiplayer theres a whole bunch of games!
I must not be seeing something. I don't like to bad mouth things, but why does this look good?
Potentially, but I remain wary of it. Just one decision keeps me waiting for reviews before I buy it, and it can be summed up with two words: D-Pad Movement. Why? I HATE using the Wii's D-Pad to move! It's a stupid idea in this day and age. Even 2D games I prefer using analogue sticks.
It's the main reason I stayed out of the console landscape until the late 90s! Well, that and having parents who refused to buy me any.
It could be great, but I'm withholding my judgment until I play it. I don't like that Samus speaks, and if they flashback to that famous scene in Super Metroid and she cries "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I will consider the shark jumped.
...but it will kick ass. It's Metroid after all. No console Metroid sucks.
