The first question 1UP asked when they sat down to have a look at MindJack is whether it has more in common with Ghost in the Shell or Inception. In MindJack's universe, a special headset has made it possible to hack into a person's brain, bringing to mind a number of possibilities.
"Definitely Ghost in the Shell," Square Enix marketing coordinator Johnny Fournier says without missing a beat. "The development team is really excited about the idea behind hacking into any character on the field."
Mindjack was released in 2011 to negative reviews.
To me, Duke Nukem was playability at least. Most movie games were more intolerable than that.
I remember being really excited for Alien Colonial Marines, until I checked the review scores.....
Hmmm hopefully se is cleaning up there act because this sounds interesting hopefully some more uniqe games like ds will come out
Tried telling people this :p
The only problem that a few other people and I saw was that it just needed to be cleaned up a bit and made a little bit more sense. Like for example when Jacking another citizens mind why do they automatically have a big assault rifle? It would be better to have the various weapons on the ground or stashed somewhere in which you'd have to find. I wonder if it will be like Demon's Souls in the fact that the story is secondary next to combat or like Ghost in the shell where story is first and combat secondary. Hopefully SE will find a perfect blend.
