Bring on PacMan vs MegaMan!

FiftyFourPointTwo5176d ago

PacMan vs Servbot would be a better match. :))

VS ideas were popular, what, back in the 90's and early 2000's? Please. Let's not do this. Fighting games already suffer from a lack of innovation as it is. What kills me is when people think adding a super duper name on the box, new fighters and costumes to a game, not to mention a handful of new levels, constitutes innovation and a worthy buy. The fighting genre fans, all of them, are the reason why the genre hasn't moved forward since the mid 90's.

(edit) disagree all you want. Spend/waste all the money you want to on these "new" iterations and all the DLC that comes with them. By all means, just don't expect anyone to advance the genre forward when everything sales at status quo. Being hit by an 8ft, 600 lbs man with an eyepatch and a scar on his chest would probably kill the average 130lb woman/man. Seems really balanced to me too. "rolls eyes"

Please tell me you're not serious...

Why NOT make this game? If there is a market for it (and there is) why not fill that need? What does the gaming community gain by this game NOT being made? How does that benefit you at all, Mr. Baltis? Or are you just being negative for the sake of being negative?

The internet has enough of that. Maybe you're the one who should try something new.

They the reason my steam library is growing, the bundles are crazy

__y2jb42d ago (Edited 42d ago )

As if that pile of old ass games is worth $350. I mean there’s some good titles there for sure but there’s no way most gamers haven’t already got or played most of them already. Lots of them haven’t aged well too.

It’s basically $30 for a bunch of games you’ll never play.

Some love for Resident Evil Code Veronica, Dino Crisis, or Okami would be nice Capcom.

P_Bomb52d ago

Code Veronica’s gotta be on the way. It’s the biggest missing link as far as remakes. Make it so!

KyRo51d ago

What I'll never understand with Dino Crisis was that with RE6, they went down a action heavy route which people disliked and didn't fit the RE formula but I feel that would have worked perfectly for Dino Crisis if they went down the Dino Crisis 2 route of being a action game over the more RE inspired DC1.

As long as it's nothing like DC3, Id absolutely love a new DC game.

Capcom is our hero and champion in the gaming industry somehow. Everyone else is straight up Dr Doom

Darkegg57d ago

Somehow? You mean the people who put their money into the company and wonder how their money is being used? The hero borrows from others bc they are not using their own capital hence why they are public company. It’s a responsibility to communicate the idea, and having an open mind to bridge various opinion. Branding questions as smart and not smart is a terrible way to focus an article on. Rather, explain the concerns and the response to them intelligently and compassionately.

VersusDMC57d ago

And most of the questions are what journalists and fans ask as well.

Why not release it this holiday season? Everyone complained it's 2025.
Why is MH Wilds not on Switch? There is currently an article posted here that Capcom abandoned the switch.
Where are the Megaman games? We all want more X games.

Truly terrifying questions...

OldDuffer57d ago

This story is literally nothing, ? I should have expected as much from this 'source'.
Nothing terrifying and nothing that's an indictment of capitalism.
If you somehow believe a publicly traded company should only have shareholders who know the ins and outs of the business, then you may get a chuckle out of some of the questions asked. In general they are exactly the types of questions you would expect from someone with a stake, who does not understand the business well. Asking questions is surely the way these people learn more about the investments they have made? I wish I hadn't of bothered clicking! :)
