Default Prime: "When I first heard about the Move, I'll admit I was skeptical, I like to consider myself a hardcore gamer, from a family hardcore gamers (my grandpa still plays video games, Dreamcast being his favorite system) and I didn't even bat an eye when the Nintendo Wii came out. I felt like it was gimmicky way to get girls into gaming and other non-gamers to play their system. It worked for them, just not for me. I like games, REAL games! Games with depth, a kick ass storyline and fun to play as well. Pretty graphics are just icing on the cake."
A group of surgeons made headlines after they managed to perform an endoscopic procedure on a pig located in Hong Kong by using PlayStation controllers. It involved the use of a PS5 DualSense controller as well as a PlayStation Move controller.
That's really cool. It's crazy something like that is possible with gaming controllers 1000's of miles away.
Air Conflicts: Secret Wars debuted in 2011, and later updated for modern consoles. However, it's the PlayStation 3 edition that stands out.
Sony's PlayStation Move may not have been able to contend with Nintendo's Wii, but it paved the way for PlayStation VR's success story.
Lack of games that proved the concept that 3rd parties could then copy en masse?
Because it was a uninspired ripoff of the Wii controller without the Nintendo library to back it and didn't try to put any real effort into development such as getting their top developers to make games for it and instead gave tech demos disguised as games to their least talented developers so the best can focus on single player only games.
Socom, killzone, resistance and tiger wood 14 were great with the move but agree lacked more games.
I bought the Wii on launch day for the motion control looking for a different approach to gaming. At the time the Wii didn't have games I wanted to play, so I sold it and bought a PS3. I'm hoping Move can bring games that people want to play, not just casual but hardcore too. Move looks like it can do that and more, so who knows.
I doubt anything will change my opinion on Move or Kinect. I already have a Wii and they are both over priced.
MPC was the only game that really delivered on the 'Wii promise.' Loved that game, but that was really the only one out there. =/ So I sold my Wii to buy games that appeal to me.
Now that Sony has that same input device with more accuracy and games like Socom, KZ3, LBP, and probably every future 1st party game along with many multiplats, I am VERY excited.
I hope DICE patches BFBC2 for Move!
