E3 2010: Second impression with the Nintendo 3DS: more headaches

It will take some a while to adjust to 3D! I knew some people who didn't like the 120 Hz HDTV's because they said it messed with their eyes and made them have headaches.

I probably won't use the 3D that much at first until I get used to it!

In all seriousness, I haven't read a bad 3DS preview until this one. Every other article seems to praise it or at least say it was alright.

yea its pretty biased. but from what I have seen the 3ds wont be good for 4-10% of the gaming market, bad eyes, kids that are under 7, and people not tolerant. Hopefully I am tolerant I saw avatar and I got my self motion sick by looking at the screen with out the glasses. Bah ill make it work!

erhhhm, people need to realize that 3d can be turned off. I really don't understand why some people get headaches from 3d, oh well.

Personally 3D doesn't bother me, I just saw toy story 3 in 3D with two friends and it gave them both headaches but I was completely fine.

I think the main reason he was having problems (considering most journos are quite excited about the 3DS) is the fact that he admits that he has a weak right eye.

Therefore, he won't be able to see the proper 3D effect at all (which is why it looked like ghosting). That doesn't just limit him to the 3DS, but to 3D movies and 3D games on the PS3 etc.

Instead of pretty much stating that the 3DS is crap, he should have made the common sense judgement that his weak eye was the source of most of the problems.

Very true seriously you have to take care of your eyes man even if it means spend loads of money on a better monitor and work lighting conditions.

I have to say I love linticular stuff and it so good in this screen it can merge the two images easily.

We have a long way to go for true 3d pixel displays though that maybe the only way he will be able to see true 3d.

Nintendo is advising children under 7 to not play the 3d.

The guy writing the 'article' is a cyclops. 3D doesn't work if you have a bad eye.

I wear glasses. 3D isn't a problem for me to see, but it sure as hell is annoying when you have to put other glasses on top of your existing ones! lol. Perhaps I'll have to get a pair of prescription 3D glasses to play in 3D on my PS3 lol.
