ZeroTolerance Writes: The recipe for success is in the box that contains ModNation Racers. Think about it. The game is a kart racer in the same vein as the classic Mario Kart. It has gorgeous visuals, spot-on controls and did I mention the greatest level editor for a game ever created? Yes ModNation is all about custom content and of course continues the trend of Sony's Play, Create, Share mantra. What we end up with is a LittleBigKart in a sense, and that is definitely not a bad thing. Only a few haggling issues keep this title from reaching the classic status, but even so if you even remotely enjoy having fun, ModNation Racers is a must buy for all PS3 owners.
Mario Kart has always reigned supreme when it comes to the best kart racers out there to play, but there are still a few other racers that are must-plays.
Sony Interactive Entertainment will be shutting the servers down for two PS3 racing games in July.
Sad, hopefully they make a new Modnation racers game. wait, is it completely shutting down or can you still download tracks?
I had some good memories playing Modnation. :( Sad to see it go, but it was inevitable.
There were plenty of notably excellent PlayStation 3 exclusives that were one-and-done during its long history. Games like Mag, Starhawk, Heavy Rain and LittleBigPlanet Karting were solid titles that were not given a chance to expand on their potential with sequels. Ironically, the developer of LittleBigPlanet Karting, United Front Games, had another kart racing title prior to this. Its first game, ModNation Racers, successfully implemented an aspect that wasn’t done previously and hasn’t been done since.
I loved this game, and it's a crying shame that the studio closed eliminating the possibility of a PS4/PS4 Pro Modnation game :(
game was great. However it felt soules Mario Kart. The load times on the game for Psvita were beyond horrible
This game would be awesome on PC. Shame it's exclusive to lousy consoles. Console gamers aren't creative enough for games like these.
but loading times when I played a shop copy killed it for me
I was racing around with my buddies this morning in the mystery machine as luigi in the Doughnut Plains. I feel like this is the kart racing game I've always wanted, but never quite got there with mario kart. Kudos to UFG.
picked it up at lunch, the only load times that bug me are the ones right before the races... but they've already said they fixed it and its going to be in the first patch 'after release'...
I DID download a patch when i put it in today but this isnt the loading time correction.. is it?
anyway, incredible game regardless, the mario mod thats up top right now is dead accurate lol. I also didnt know how well the kart racing would actually be but its mad fun.. drifting is awesome... tough to get used to at first but feels wicked when you get the hang of it.
If you cant give this game a chance cuz you're too lazy to wait a few extra minutes, its you're loss..
