"To boldly go where no DS game has gone before" should definitely be Infinite Space's tagline! It combines space exploration and RTS tactical space-ship combat with a dose of RPG stat building to create a truly dynamic gaming experience which is pulled off exceptionally well with an outstandingly huge universe with hundreds of planets to visit and just as many characters to meet, greet and recruit in your travels.
Space opera fans deserve a chance to experience the vastness of Infinite Space, and Sega needs to make up for its mistake.
I still go back to Infinite Space from time to time. Probably the most underrated game I ever played.
