One of the most hotly anticipated titles of 2007 for hardcore action gamers is undoubtedly Crysis on the PC. This is the game that'll help test what that expensive rig can really do with some seriously high grade visuals. What IGN's been wondering about is if the game managed to recapture some of Far Cry's better moments and turn up the fun. They finally had another chance to check out how the game was playing and are happy to report that they had a rather good time slaughtering their enemies.
A Crysis VR mod is now available for download, allowing users to experience the first entry in the series in VR
No one cares. The whole can it run Crysis is old, dead and stupid. It's also irrelevant, considering only less than one percent of pc owners, own a high-end PC. Second, I believe Crysis wasn't even optimized properly.
Let's hope the modders can get the other Crysis games working in VR as they use the same Cryengine.
GF365: "There are some games with extraordinary visuals that impress us to this day. Here are old games with outstanding graphics."
I always thought the first 3 Gears of War games looked great and still hold up for today.
Far Cry 2 was awesome. In addition to having demonstrably better physics and AI than later games in the series, it had a lot of design decisions that, criticized at the time, have since been praised in games like BOTW and Dark Souls.
It might not be super amazing by today's standard but I thought Mgs3 looked really good
Digital Foundry: "When Alex Battaglia got his hands on a Steam Deck, this was inevitable, right? So can the Steam Deck really run Crysis? And if so, what type of optimised settings produce the best performance? What's the best balance of features and battery life... and what about 60fps?"
But Uncharted isnt far off. But i still wonder who will be able to run this game at max settings?
Edit: I guess your right, running this game on DX10 with max settings would blow Uncharted away, but uncharted is still a big jump up from other PS3 games.
i think console gamers will have to wait at least 2 years befor they can say (woow did you see this game, it has better water effect than Far C....I mean Crysis ) ..............
EDIT:@mk-red
I Think you making good point there but do not forget high end pc have now 2 GTX8800 cards making them with 3 times the video memory of 360 or ps3 regarding the RAM i think it obvious .games for PC optmized for the highest level that even PC with 2 GTX will hardly run it @60fps.they have far more in-game effect and that what makes the diffrence not the resolution and they have the choice to switch between them anytime
I'm waiting for E3 where I believe some Crysis quality console games will be shown. This E3 marks the 2nd gen PS3 games and 3rd gen Xbox360 games. And if games like MGS2, Ninja Gaiden (Black), Burnout, Black and God Of War are any indication (Specially MGS and NG which took PC 3-4 years to catch up), current gen consoles like PS3 and 360 may be ready to fight PC's graphics.
Good article, cant wait for E3. (Cant say "Cant wait for Crysis", I like it but I'm sure I cant play it on my PC)
looks nice.
