Heaven? Than heaven is rather mediocre. This engine looks outdated. Cool in 2005.

Dur, Heaven is the DX11 Unigine benchmark, and this is not a tech demo, its an actual game, I believe you are TOO PAWNED.

Their game looks good I agree but it is at the best at level of best looking console games and that is not what I expect from DX 11.

No console games have come close to rendering that vast scale of geometric complexity, mass vegetation, texture resolution and accurate lighting.

Uncharted 2 isn't that good quality once you take a close look at the geometry and texture resolution.

The dinosaur models are nice.
The DoF is pulled off really well.
And..The gun model is pretty...Pretty......Kinda.
Couple jaggies on the hand though. -_-

That was far from impressive, I remembering being in awe when they showed off Unreal engine 3 in GDC 08 but these just did not have the wow factor.

It's cause your not realizing what's being rendered here. Look at the vast amount of vegetation. The grass isn't just textured vertical polygon planes scattered about. It's millions of dynamic strands of grass, along with other vegetation. Then there's the tessellation of the mountains, trees, dinosaurs that allows for a level of detail never before possible in real-time. And lighting is also great.

There arent millions of strands of grass. There are maybe a few thousand ones that move the look real nice, and have physical values. The will just sway around. Theres absolutely no point in putting anywhere close to 1 million dynamic pieces and textures right on the ground

Grass, Trees and some extremely slow moving Dinosaurs. Wow talk about earth shattering material we have here. Some things look good and other things dont. For example the rifle in his hands look terrible and the buildings look dated. Killzone 2 looks far beyond this.

and for all the PC people, project offset looks worlds past this.

however I doubt Project Offset will ever be released >.>

The draw distance is definitely impressive but that's about it. Project Offset (assuming they don't keep lowering the bar for its graphics) and CryEngine 3 destroy this thing.
