PlanetXbox360 Contest: Blur BETA Codes for Lots of Gamers

From the PlanetXbox360.com feature contest:

"Later this month Activision and developer Bizarre Creations will begin a beta for their upcoming action-racer Blur, and PlanetXbox360.com is lucky enough to have plenty of beta codes to give away; all you have to do to enter is follow the instructions below (very simple). A man in a movie once told me that with great power comes great responsibility, this contest is easy to win but takes a little bit of effort to complete - do so and a Blur beta code will be yours. So we have more than enough Blur beta codes to go around, entries can start now and will run through whenever we run out of codes (which could be a day or two weeks - don't press your luck though as this game is awesome and everyone should try and get their hands on it as soon as possible. The beta starts on March 8th - more instructions will be included in the e-mail with your Blur beta code. PlanetXbox360.com has 500+ codes to give away so if you wan't in the beta click the link now, your chances are very good!"

From what I've played of this game at E3 and PAX it's a whole lot of fun, the beta should be interested as it's the closest thing to next-gen Mario Kart that we will ever get, and it's created by Bizarre (PRG anyone).... great contest!

Old Greg5582d ago

Go thru fileplant. WAAAAAY less effort, and you dont have to sign up for a bunch of accounts that you dont want.

Here's a link: http://www.fileplanet.com/p...
(thank soda p. for it)

bruddahmanmatt5582d ago

This game has looked like SUCK since day one. Of the two similar titles being released this year, Split/Second looks much better. As for this being a "next gen Mario Kart" as someone suggested, sorry but if you want Mario Kart HD, you'll need to pick up a PS3 and a game called ModNation Racers.

PepperJack5583d ago

i'm in! thanks for the codes!

LaurenKB1235583d ago

I can't wait to play Blur - looks a lot like the old Twisted Metal games!

young juice5583d ago

it looks nothing like twisted metal

El_Colombiano5583d ago

Don't worry, it's just a fanboy trying to say they have something better than what another platform offers.

bacon135582d ago (Edited 5582d ago )

Can't wait to play the old Twisted Metal games, they look exactly like Blur. /s

P.S. follow the wisdom of Soda and go to fileplanet to d/l. It took me 5 minutes at most.

Too much effort for a beta.

UltimaEnder5583d ago

Next time take the time to actually read the article; it's not that much at all (follow on twitter/subscribe on youtube, and post one post on forums - IGN wants you to pay $6.95 a month just for a shot at the beta, which is better?

-MD-5583d ago (Edited 5583d ago )

I did read the article, well the entry requirements.

Next time, don't jump to conclusions.

UltimaEnder5583d ago

Sorry if it seems like too much, for that I apologize......there are many gamers who want in this Beta and those few tasks are much better than paying money.....

darkequitus5583d ago

As it is Activision, would read the fine print. Agreeing to thei terms and condition may end up selling your soul.

mikepmcc5581d ago

You don't have to jump through hoops at all to get into the beta, just log into gamespot, go to the blu beta page and they'll immediately give you a code (they had 50,000 to give away)

I just started playing Spec op. I've had it for years on steam and forgot about it. Such a good game.

EvertonFC477d ago (Edited 477d ago )

Fantastic game,.so underated

Cacabunga477d ago

Yes great game spec ops! Since the time we’ve been asking sony to make one:/

Auto Modelista.. a PS2 capcom racer!! A blast to play and great graphics!
Maximo!
Rival Schools!

LordoftheCritics477d ago

Spec Ops: The Line was super dark.

Incredible story.

SheenuTheLegend477d ago

all the games in the above list are bang on. this is the only reason we need backwards compatibility and physical presense of games for the upcoming future, no matter what.

Yi-Long477d ago

Honorable mention to the excellent Driveclub, one of the best racing games of all-time and one of my favourite games ever.

melons477d ago

yes! incredible rain effects; so good to drive along in rain with your Spotify playlist blaring

Skuletor477d ago

I really wanted a MotorStorm using the same engine, Driveclub is easily one of the best looking games on PS4 and I'm surprised they didn't even give it a PS4 Pro patch.

ravens52477d ago

Yes indeed. May just install it on my PS5. You know, physical copy and all.

monkey602476d ago

I adored Driveclub and the Bike expansion. I also loved Motorstorm. Evolution shutting down was a crime

Outrun Online Arcade, Sega Rally Online Arcade, After Burner Climax... all good stuff. I keep my 360 hooked up to play these as well as the TMNT games that were also delisted.

Skuletor477d ago

I have quite a few of these. Timed licenses suck.

Terry_B477d ago (Edited 477d ago )

wow...I have all of them except the Nintendo ones either in physical or digital version.

Also..Deadpool the Game is missing on that list.

EVERY Blur Game Ever

Whilst it’s rather disappointing that there are no new Blur games on the way, we can still look back at the series and reminisce.

Kumakai1860d ago

there was more than one? man i must have really checked out after the first one.... or my lack of interest is showing. that game was..... not great.

Skuletor1860d ago

"there was more than one?" This is exactly what I just thought too. I just remember the one on PS360 and PC. The game was fun but I didn't play it much tbh

IRetrouk1860d ago

Wanted to love this game so much, but just couldn't, it was the cars handling more than anything else, why they couldn't have kept or remade the pgr handling model is anyone's guess.

JonTheGod1860d ago

2 mobile variants and a cancelled sequel do not a franchise make.

Gunstar751860d ago

Blur was a great game. Such a shame Bizaree Creations went bust.

Azraeia1859d ago

Tbf didn't know there was more than one. But looking at the other games in this list no wonder the series died after the first major title. Racing is an awkward series to compete in imo. You can't really go down the simulation route cause games like Forza have got that covered and if you want arcade smash up style racing then just play the old NFS or Burnout.

Nine Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 Cult Classics That Deserve An HD Release

Blurs servers were the main issue but would love to see it return.

AZRoboto2893d ago

I'll point out that these games are all from the X360/PS3 era - they've already had HD releases when they first came out. Split/Second and Blur - with the crazy vehicle physics capable today, why would we not want sequels to them?

The other games, all a matter of opinion of course, but... thank you for your ads between every single game. /s

TheDCD2893d ago

Problem with sequels is that they aren't very likely. Activision dropped Blur like a bad habit, and Disney isn't doing games anymore. So I'll happily take the originals.

Relientk772893d ago

Remember Me
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Miss_Weeboo2893d ago

Alan Wake
Lost Odyssey
Demon Souls

TheDCD2892d ago

As much as I'd kill for a Demon's Souls remake, isn't likely. We'll probably get Bloodborne 2 instead.

PhoenixUp2893d ago

Dafuq kinda title is that? These games were already released on HD consoles though...
