Hmmm....a 40% performance drop on using Tessallation and advanced shadows? So far, I have yet to see the highly anticipated "performance boost" from using DX11. Makes me wonder if upgrading now to a DX11 enabled card is worth the extra cost. It seems the current hardware is still too measly to handle DX11 features.

Indeed, the first generation of DX10 cards really choked on most early games with DX10 features. Company of Heroes, Call of juarez, Lost planet etc took pretty major league performance hits with minimal visual improvement. This is an early DX11 game on first generation DX11 hardware. I cant say i didnt expect this.....but as time passes developers will get a better handle on DX11 efficiency as they did with DX10, and hardware obviously will go through more generations.

Typically i would expect none other than crysis 2 to push DX11 and no doubt crush this first generation of DX11 hardware horribly, much as the original did to everything in 2007.

that's laughable

I mean the difference is just so low even on a picture that I wouldn't even bother playing DX11. Better keep the 58xx performance to get a good DX9/10 performance

this is whats holding be back from upgrading my 5750 to 5970 dx11 seems make little difference and be to much hit on performace. maybe its just developers think we need good developers working on a dx11 game and we might see sone real diffrence.

vilanova5593d ago

but I can not see the difference, not the game that this clear, but between a demented and insane, do not believe there are human beings who live this way, feeding it, fighting for it, and still living among us

hellboy18805592d ago

this sucks.

was thinking of upgrading to the 5000 series to play this game in DX11. Forget it now. Performance is terrible.

I think i'll hang on to my 4890 a while longer.

Bodster5592d ago

I havent even been able to play in dx11 yet, the damn game keep crashing on me when its on.

I have an ATi Radeon 5770 and a more than capable computer.
