New Metro 2033 Xbox 360 Gameplay Footage

TMC: New Xbox 360 gameplay footage of Metro 2033 thanks to the folks at Teamxbox Forums .The game looks incredible from the atmosphere,sounds and pacing to the amazing lightning system and graphics. Metro 2033 is coming out on March 16, 2010 for 360 and PC. Enjoy!

ON TOPIC: This game actually looks pretty good, Im really impressed. I've heard of it, but thought it would be some budget title like Velvet Assassin and dismissed it. But now that Ive had a chance to see some footage, I'm extremely interested.

The game looks good. I wouldn't put it up there with KZ2 or MW titles but it looks like a 8.5/10. Looking forward to seeing some more of the game.

I want to see some different enemies, too. They look kind of boring to fight. They make a big deal about how exciting and hectic it is, but they're just standing there holding down the trigger.

If you see the game with better quality footage you would know this game is up there with high end PC titles and beyond any console shooters to date. Some of that footage is on XBL now.
The amount of detail, pronounced texture quality, texture resolution and the lighting has not been seen on consoles this generation.

Game looks incredible! Need some better footage but from what I'm seeing this pc 360 game surpasses KZ2 in the amount of detail and immersion easily. Who would have thought 360 be able to hold up so well this late in it's life. This is a surprise possible sleeper hit that gives gamers another reason to pick up a 360.

Don't think this surpasses killzone 2 in immersion.
You must know when 70 procent is in a metro station you can push the graphics ^^
It looks good nonetheless...

But these days all you need for atmosphere is small spaces who're dark and some lighting that gives it a creepy look...
This has also been done in uncharted, the first one, and It gave me the creeps too

Completely under my radar. 2010 is really shaping up a hell of alot better for the 360 than last years "blip".
To be fair this game could be anything from a 6-10/10. Who knows but first indications look decent.

Unlikely... not that i think Metro is going to suck or anything (got it pre-ordered) but BioShock 1 is a masterpiece (at least in my book) and i have high hopes for BioShock 2 to be a masterpiece as well. But, never say never... Anyway i'm anticipating both games so i won't care if one of them is going to outshine the other.

Another question: Is Metro going to be more horror or action oriented?

Bioshock is first and foremost an RPG, with a FPS mechanism gameplay/view.

I think this is more competition with S.T.A.L.K.E.R, since I believe it was quite unique with realistic FPS action/ open world sci fi

NO WAY! this game is not competition to STALKER in any way shape or form. I do believe some developers from STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl made this game but it SUCKS when compared to STALKER.

STALKER is THE best open world FPS RPG to date.
Metro is linear and short and the only comparison to the STALKER series is that it's post nuclear war just like Fallout 3.

In the time it takes you to build up your money,medical supplies, armor, weapons, artifacts, etc in STALKER to leave the "Rookie" map and go deep within the ZONE you would have beaten METRO2033 and traded it in for something else.

I remember some direct-feed PC gameplay a while ago. That looked really sharp, some of the best looking textures I've seen in a while.
This version looks a bit less amazing (obviously), but I'll hold off judgement until 360 direct-feed gameplay comes out.

I wasnt exactly sold, just yet. The game looks and feels sooooo similar to STALKER, but then its a lot of the team who worked on that game. The engine is also based on X ray. 4A say it aint, but just from these videos it looks an awful lot like it is...at least the programmers who worked on X ray replicated its 'look'.

The texturing and sense of immersion goes well beyond KZ2. Also notice how he holds the gun up high like someone mentioned earlier. I agree nice lighting.

Didn't even buy ODST or MW.....Hack & Slash/Action been keeping me busy and JRPGs. As we know with Xbox Live and it's Shooters. Given this game is decent/Great, it will sell pretty well.

Last year the developer had this to say about the ps3 version "Metro 2033 for the PS3 will be the best of the best" and "In an interview with GamesRadar has 4A Games creative director Andrew Prokhorov said that their new engine will make full use of the latest technology of the PlayStation 3 and undoubtedly one of the greatest first person shooter games will be very much graphic detail and quality."

Yet now there's no mention of a PS3 version. Maybe it'll be a timed exclusive. At least if it is it won't just be a port.

Metro seems like a blend between Fallout and Half Life, has a RPG feel too, so it is a must buy for now, unless they do something very wrong

Very atmospheric environments with organic/populated areas. Great animations and lighting as well.
Being developed by an EastEuropean team makes it even more interesting for me.
I wasn't planning to buy another game until April (since i wasn't interested in Bioshock2 or AVP) but if M2033 is as good, gameplay wise, as it looks on screen, then the comrades from Ukraine will get my money.

looks goods, the graphics looks excellent, its not like brink or Rage but its really good especially the lightning and environments. Looks loads better than Fallout 3 (but yeah thats an year old game).

The best part seems to be the story and atmosphere of the game. Being releativly unknown the dev team has put up really good effort.
