I liked the game, but it was a lot shorter than I expected it to be. Other than that and a few glitches and freezes, I thought the game was awesome.

I feel that many in the gaming media are trying VERY hard to get people to play this game, and to be honest it is starting to get on my nerves.

It's like that annoying friend that keeps telling you how awesome his favorite song is, despite the fact that you don't like it and are sick of hearing him talk about it.

I was a little skeptical about whether I would enjoy Brutal Legend, as I'm not the biggest Jack Black fan and am also not super well versed in the history of metal music. But after playing the demo I'm now champing at the bit to play the full game and was glad to see your review coincides with my high hopes for the title.

look on metacritic, the average is an 85. there were 10 sites on metacritic that gave it a 90 or higher.

A short main mission and lack of variety in the weapons means I won't be getting this game. I don't have time to play online, nor bandy around completing side quests, so I need games with long main missions. And why does it have clipping issues and synch problems? At what point do the producers of games look at their product and say; "Ah close enough is good enough".

Supposedly 8-10 hours long for the main campaign, but there are about 50 other side quests and many unlockables in the world. I wish it were longer, but it's still a very high quality campaign.

Its like fallout. A good main story with a redonkulous amount of side quests.

Hmmm, good points on the review, I need to check this out. I'll probably rent it, since an 8-10 hour games doesn't seem like its worth $60.

@RaymondM I have not played Brutal Legend yet but am looking forward to it. Due to the short campaign, and repetitive side quests that many reviews are citing I think this game is going to be a rent for me as well.
