Ofcause its maxed out Xbox 360

MNicholas5732d ago

Unimpressed. Technically and artistically deficient.

We appreciate your advocacy against the MicroSoft... But with all due respect, the Sony Socialist Republic would like it if you would create more intelligent postings. The article (which was translated from what should be all Sony Socialists' mother language, German) solely refers to the PC version. What more, our true enemy's version will not be released until Q1 2010.

You have disgraced the Sony Socialist Republic and have been demoted. We hope, for your sanctity, that this WILL not happen again!

Hail Fuhrer Kaz Hirai!

you can't max out PC, that liar.

Sorry but one score, specially from Gamespot doesn't give it "awful reviews." In fact, Metacritic shows that it's gotten an overall 79/100 from critics and 89/100 from players. The critics and players agree that it's not the best but it's definitely a good game, specially for such a small studio with such a small budget.

The Game got delayed in the US only. Europeans can play it since 2nd this Month on PC and Xbox 360.

The Game is a really great and deep RPG Expirence, but only on the PC. The Xbox Version is hardcore dumped down. (But better that Two Worlds back then)

The Reviews are splitted in PC and Xbox Version. The PC Version are around 85 -90 % and the Xbox Reviews are around 50 %.

In the next Month there will be a Graphics-Patch for the Xbox Version. So i hope that the Xbox Versio will get better on the US Release.

For playing it around 16h it's seriously great.

Deep, hard like a real german RPG.

Awefull animations, but once depth of field is desactivated it looks pretty georgous

The best thing I like about it is that they spent the time to put in voices for every character, including the hero's. Sure the dialoge is hokie and campy, but some people like that.

Other than that it's a decent "oldschool" style RPG. If Risen came out around the time Morrowind did, it may have taken 2nd for best RPG of the year (back in 2002 or 2003).

I played it a bit, but it's one of those games I just forgot about. Same with the two worlds games, gothic 3 and Arcania: Gothic 4. It sounds and looks nice (for the time) but it just doesn't scratch that itch quite right.

Idk why but I usually like their games , risens, elex etc. I've only played risen 2 risen 3, elex and elex 2. I'm gonna get the risen 1 at some point

isarai693d ago

Two Worlds 2 was also incredibly ambitious, wish the sequel would've happened

jznrpg693d ago

Their games have a certain level of jank and wouldn’t hurt to be more difficult but I still had a good time with Two Worlds 2 and would have bought a 3.

shinoff2183693d ago

Shit elex took me a minute to stop being killed but once I learned a few tricks , etc I was doing good

These games "look" good from video clips/screenshots, but apparently they're pretty buggy and gameplay is wonky.. like developers had a great concept but with the scope, it was hard to deliver.. and that's for 3 games..

Review - Risen (PS4) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Aaron Price: "The long and short of it is that Risen is a fun action-adventure RPG. It is very rough around the edges, not to the extent of some other games in the genre that came out around the same time (looking at you, Two Worlds), but it has charm. If you’re a fan of Oblivion, or Skyrim, and want to see another game that has a similar style, this might be a good pickup.

Risen 2 is still available for digital download meaning you can easily get lost in this world but hours upon hours if you found yourself enjoying it. I don’t personally find this re-release to be a massive improvement over the original, as little to nothing in it has been actually revamped, but it’s still great to see the game get a release on more consoles than just the Xbox, or even just a way to experience the start of the series if you maybe played the sequel on PS3."
