and the GECK editor they released can change anything in the game, you can make it so the gauss rifle can be repaired with different weapons, change the fire rate/damage, degradation rate of weapons, anything

Yeah, I love when the devs give you awesome tools to make stuff, or even the game tools that they used to make the game itself.

(Epic Games and the UnrealEd, Valve and the SourecSDK, Crytek and the CryEditor, etc). All that stuff kicks major ass.

I never got into making my own, but I had tons of mods and maps for the original Unreal Tournament when I played that 24/7 on PC. Was awesome that UT3 came with mod installation possible on the PS3. Too bad that idea didn't catch on with anyone else.

I have an love my PS3 an I'm not missing a thing because I platinumed fallout 3 on PS3. An I have it on PC with the diamondized mod already.

you paid 59usd played on low/medium res hardly any AA, didnt get any mod support and made your thumbs hurt.

good job on the pc version though.. but question why buy an inferior verion at a higher price?

mate what do you care? I buy games on console instead of PC because I just want simplicity, insert disk, pick up pad, enjoy.

And besides Devs support Console gaming waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more these days.

Its only a few rare Devs that are still committed to the PC, like Bethesda for instance. The majority of big main steam games, PC gets the raw end of the deal.

I really wish you could create or download mod packs to the PC then copy them to your console, or just put DLC mod packs in the store. I also would like to have ingame music radio feature on the pip boy. I have lots of classic tunes that would fit right into the game. I would be listening to Kanye West while traversing the wasteland.

This is the advantage of PC versions/games.

The modding community is just amazing at these stuff.

I'd think, if Live/PSN were to have this "armour" as DLC... they'll probably charge them $1.99

PC gets it free...

When games on pc do take off like Fallout 3 has with mods its by far an amazing experience. Though all PC games don't take off like Fallout 3 has. Playing on PC for years, even I'm amazed at the pace an quality of the mods coming out for Fallout 3 an my new rig is loving every minute of it.

Actually the game looks damn near the same unless you jack the resolution up beyond 1080p. An I personally prefer to play on my PS3 talking with psn friends an competing against them with trophies. An I didn't have the pc I have now back then but even so I still would have played it on PS3 first. The mods weren't out day one, I've been at it long enough to know what I like an I still would have done it the same way. Playing it on my PS3 an playing it on my pc before mods I enjoyed them equally if it wasn't for the mods I wouldn't had bothered to play it again on pc as I had already beaten it 4 times on PS3.

I've seen the game on the same t.v. through hdmi cables for my pc an my ps3 an I know the graphical difference isn't as big as some people think. I'm talking equal comparison at 720p with the pc on the highest settings. Not comparing with the pc at a completely different resolution all together.

why not compare it at the high resolution?

my brother played it on the ps3.. i played it on the pc.. the difference was huge.

ps3 looked blurry at best lacking AA and filtering along with low res textures.. even at same resolution calling it the same is plain wrong.

champ21 well its not blurry on my t.v. so I guess your experience is completely different then mine. I guess my t.v. is awesome that way. An a comparison is to be as even as possible for a direct comparison. otherwise your comparing a variable to a constant. PC has no standard therefore there is no constant because it isn't going to look the same on everyones pc because everyone has different pc's. When two cars line up for a straight drag race the line up toe to toe to see who is the best. They don't start 9 car lengths ahead.

Your not getting the point that the pc version can just as well look like s*** on someone's pc who has to turn the graphics down. There is no PS3 that isn't going to play the game its all the same PC is a variable if you can't get that I don't know what to tell you.

Enate is right your probably on a Alien ware computer with a full HD monitor and your brother is most likely on this 20" non HD TV with s*** resolution and your like OMG PC is so much better. PS3 has best graphics you can get and if you use a default ps3 and a default computer Ps3 is gonna look 100x better.
